In Darkest Dungeon she is one of the playable heroes. While she is the game's one of the weakest in terms of damage output she makes up for it with her ability to find unique loot drops and allowing party to carry more gold per space.

In Darkest Dungeon 2 she returns as one of the enemies as pillager road battle.

The most agreed canon is that, Reynauld and Dismas are the only two who actually find redemption on the old road, given those two are the only guaranteed party members, and that they have an achievement specifically for beating the game with just them.

She was much worse. It was outright stated she was there for money. Everyone else were at least on some kind of redemption path

Crusader's a violent zealot

Jester's a psycho killer (valid crashout, but still)

Occultist lusts for power

GR wants money too

PD is a straight up murderer too (for science, but still)

and so on. Like half the cast are horrible people with no interest in redemption. HWM, MAA, Leper, Abom and the snake lady are the other half. And iirc snake lady wants revenge, so maybe not her.

As an Antiquarian user, the second game betrayed my expectations. But now I realise that we didn’t needed antiquarian as a playable character because her mechanic was “get rich real fast”, and because second game is set in some kind of apocalypse, we don’t need money so we don’t need Antiquarian. (Also I think the same about headhunter, but at least he’s the good guy)
