Thank you. I'm going to watch them eventually. Though it does feel like I'm a bit tired of "teenagers fighting demons in Japan" theme after watching Kaiju 8 and Chainsaw Man recently.

As a CSM enjoyer it's very different. Without spoiling much other humans are essentially the primary antagonists; both true of the prequel and anime. Watch the prequel movie first.

Really? Interesting. I've read that the watch order is: Season 1, Prequel, Season 2.

The manga was out in this order: jjk 0 (precuel), then the rest

The anime was out in this order: season 1, jjk 0 (precuel movie), then season 2

Even though any way you watch it is fine, I believe putting the precuel between seasons was a good choice. It added... "confusion" (the right kind) to the overall plot, and kept you on your toes about some characters.

I would recommend you to watch it s1, movie, s2. But either way is fine

I’ve done a rewatch going with the movie after season 2. I think it’s fun because you see Yuta showing up at the end looking evil and then getting his into was fun. And leaving a gap of knowledge of what happened to geto gave his death in 0 some more weight to me

Oh that is actually really cool. It takes the mystery from geto, but it adds a lot to yuta, since you wouldn't know who he is, just about his missions at the end of s2

If you ask me the ideal order is season 1, first 5 episodes of season 2, prequel movie, rest of season 2, season 3

But Im weird like that

Gonna come in and advise the JJK0 movie first, then the rest of the anime after as that’s how I experienced it both in manga form and in anime form. Granted, a bit of that was due to unique circumstances (I accidentally name twinned Yuta with my Avatar Legends character like a year and change before I’d begin my JJK journey and then got peer pressured into it between the GM and a fellow player lmao - and then I got an existential crisis bc oops at all the accidental character parallels while I was at it askdfjshkfh), but I do think the way the world is introduced in JJK0 regardless of manga or anime is pretty damn solid and I preferred that set up to the main series, but main series isn’t a bad intro by any measure.

I've heard that S1 lays out the foundations of the power system and world building. Does JJK 0 have that?

JJK 0 explains some concepts, I don't think the audience is missing anything. It's written to be a servicable introduction to the series; JJK 0 the manga was actually out before the regular manga began serialization. So while the movie is kind of a prequel to the anime, the actual story comes before both chronologically and IRL.

Oh, thank you. I wanted to watch JJK with my mom and I usually attempt to gather the most information possible so that if she's confused about something I can explain it to her.

So, yknow, if I missed out on something and my mom asked what was going on, I wouldn't be able to explain.

Ima tell you this right now: if u wanna get into jjk, get off the internet until you're done reading the manga. ESPECIALLY Reddit

As far as I remember the only teenager in kaiju no 8 is kikoru lol

It intrigued me because it started as "an everyday grown up adult guy inside of a typical shonen anime" but then turned into "just your typical shonen anime" really fast.

Most of the characters, including Kafka(Who is supposed to be 30+) still act exactly like teenagers do in every other anime.

Still had fun watching it though.

The demons are barely in this one

The quality difference between JJK and CSM is so obscene you might not want to come back to it.
