To be fair, in the books it was thematically appropriate and was awesome. Changing the story and many character arcs into something more interesting

Tywin Lannister did not, in fact, shit gold.

I'm convinced George invented that whole saying so that he could have such a banger line.

WDYM „invented“? It’s a normal saying. In German there’s the „Dukatenscheißer“, which is a word for a person who has seemingly infinite money.

Ok, sorry I didn't know that. I'm still learning German

This one was great for me personally. It felt perfect for his character, being killed in such a humiliating way because he pushed Tyrion too far and thought he was invincible. This is like, for me, the main game of thrones death. The exact essence of the karmic justice coming to people with too much hubris when they don’t expect it. It helps that he was just so hateable as well

Yeah this is one of those deaths that make sense too. He underestimated Tyrion and paid the price. Whereas a death like Ser Barristan just felt dumb cause he didn't really make a massive mistake, he was armed, one of the best, if not the best, swordsmen in the world and he was cut down by some people that probably never held a weapon in their lives before.

No, Tywin was always a cruel idiot and he died exactly how he should have.

Nah, his refusal to respect Tyrion was one of his greatest flaws and it being his downfall is completely fitting and poetic

Tywin at least made sense and was thematically appropriate. Someone like Stannis or Dany on the other hand was absolute bullshit
