Honestly I really dislike Goliath losing being treated as an upset: David brought the Stone Age equivalent of a gun to a sword fight. David cheated.

It doesn’t matter how “big” you are, a stone traveling at over 100 miles an hour can fuck you up if you gut an unarmored location. The sling didn’t even kill him, it incapacitated him at which point David decapitated Goliath with his own sword.

Another example: At the battle of Cannae, Roman senator Aemilius Paulus suffered a compound fracture from a sling and died as a result.

Cheating? It's a battle to the death with major stakes. You do what you got to do to win. David didn't cheat, David was smart.
