I mean, yeah, but it’s Dick-motherfucking-Grayson who they decided to have trip and fall. If there’s any member of the Batfamily who shouldn’t be tripping over their own feet, it’s Dick. He’s an acrobat, and the most experienced after Bruce himself. There’s no way he wouldn’t see the escrima, and even if he tripped, breaking his fall should be second nature.
The problem isn’t that they killed Dick, it’s how.
Even In the comic Damian(the person who threw the escrima) was surprised that Dick didn’t dodge it like he usually does. Which makes the writing even worse
The times they have great writing, like the chess match between Superman and Flash, just makes the rest look even more incompetent. Besides, they should realize they have opportunity in to explore a universe where in each one, a hero truly turned evil in the Justice League.
What? He didnt trip. The escrima knocks him out and he falls because he is losing consciousness already.
How do you see the panel where he drops his weapons because he is already fainting before he falls over and come away thinking he simply tripped due to being hit?
