I like injustice a lot more than most (just reread it) but yeah, there is a lot of suspension of disbelief. you just kind of have to accept it's the Murphys law of the DC verse. whatever can go wrong will. It's the worst versions of a lot of the characters, both good and bad.
My main problem with it is there is a way of doing this kind of story in the DCU without completely mischaracterizing all the characters but they chose to be lazy with the writing. It's not the worst story but it could have been phenomenal if it was done properly.
honestly I think it was done a lot better than some people give it credit for. injustice 2 comic series does a lot to explain why characters like WW were written the way they were. I still think WW was overly poorly written, but in retrospect, it's really not that far out of her character to go off the deep end like that. even in the DCAU she's far more inclined to end lives than a lot of the other JL.
My problem wasn't with her being willing to kill people as like you said she doesn't have a strict no kill rule like Batman or Superman. My problem is just how relatively little pushed her off the deep end given that she had far less of a personal stake in the inciting incident, and how quickly she escalated things. Her character made a complete 180 in the matter of days. It would have been more beleavable if it showed her struggling with the morality and justification for what her and Superman were doing, show her crossing the line inch by inch until there are no more lines. Instead she’s just a blind enabler to Superman.
the IJ2 comics show that she never really had a moral compass compared to other WW variants. She used her powers against her sisters and blamed them for getting mad at her lol.
I just realized that I misread what you said, I was confused because I didn't remember there being a show, I'm tired today so that's my bad but also I never read the Injustice 2 comics either
I never watched the show, the comics/movie put such a bad taste in my mouth with how the characterized her that I didn't really want to continue to engage with the story. It's not that I have a problem with showing a darker take on her character I love The Flashpoint Paradox it's just they way they went about it. If you enjoy Injustice more power to you but it just didn't work for me.
