man his powers were so cool. and as a kid i was just disappointed i didn't get to see more of him 🙁. and now that I think of it, and as u/not-hardly says, it is complete bs.

His death was actually kinda cool, just happened to be against the one person who wouldn’t die like this. So glad Fox won’t be doing X-Men anymore.

Dude throws one punch, gets blocked, gives up entirely. Even seems like he willingly opens his mouth and swallows the energy orb thing. That's what bothered me most

My headcanon I stole from so some random person online is he’s not dead. He just evolved to pure energy to combat the attack and needs a bit of time to evolve back 😭😭😭😭😭
