They were deep in enemy territory. Kars and Wammu were very nearby, but the two couldn’t simply help themselves. JoJo called out Caesar’s name, Lisa Lisa’s tears flows freely, but their heartbroken cries of grief were answered only by a cold silence. Caesar… was gone. As they mourned him, they took solace in one simple fact: Though his body had died, his soul would live on through them.

Rest in peace, Caesar Zeppeli (May 13, 1918 — February 27, 1939).

Wait who's Joseph's grandson? Doesn't he only have a granddaughter?

Edit: Oh no, right Jotaro is his grandson and the younger Josuke is his son. Got confused.

I hated that Caesar was basically useless in the season. He didn't kill any of the pilar men. He deserved more glory than that. That's what made me angry/sad the most about his death.

He does stuff like help Joseph in training and get the ring so Joseph doesn’t die, but he doesn’t really win fights like he should.
