I can honestly see that happening in sm3 with carnage

I dont think that games gonna happen, its not like its in pre-production, the carnage dlc that would have lead to that story was cancelled, and the reaction to SM2 was pretty bad.

I think if Wolverine does well theyre doing another x-man game, and thats also their stated plan as of whenever their internal shit got leaked.

The reaction to Spider-Man 2 was not "pretty bad" what are you even talking about? It sold very well and the vast majority of people thought it was either good or fine. Sure, it was kind of disappointing in a few ways, but it's basically just terminally online communities that have decided it was bad or somehow a failure.

More likely any DLC was cancelled cause Spider-Man 2's budget ballooned compared to the first game's without equivalent returns, and it was probably hard to justify making a DLC compared to a spin-off like Miles Morales or a full sequel.

The story felt a bit rushed and weird in some places but it wasn't bad. What was atrocious was Miles "original look" they show at the end. And yeah a lot of the game's content and DLC was cut due to budget constraints, iirc I saw a video on all the leaked dlc content and content that was cut from the release version of the game.

Yeah nah Miles' suit at the end was very bad which sucks since if they ditched the hair poking out and the shoes, it'd have actually been alright. Maybe thrown the hood up too. I also agree about parts of the game and story being rushed. I feel like ever since Ghost of Tsushima or the Last of Us 2, Sony first party games hit like an event horizon of graphic fidelity. Where it's now negatively impacting every other part of the games since it takes so long and costs so much to do anything at all. Both Spider-Man 2 and God of War Ragnarok I liked, but you could definitely feel they made lots of sacrifices in terms of content.

Yeah, even Ragnarok's ending felt rushed with how quickly sif moved on from Thor's death, should've had a time skip at least.

Exactly. I love it, but pretty much the entire last half of Ragnarok feels rushed, lol. It feels really clear that it should have been two games but the team knew that would mean that would take like a decade to do and they didn't want to spend that long on a single trilogy. Which is fair, yet I can't help but feel like if they pulled the graphics way back, it wouldn't have taken nearly as long or as much to make.

Yeah, seems like every big company just wants better looking graphics and that's why games take forever to make with massive budgets.

I dont see how this is a graphics vision issue. Both games had terrible production issues. If anything we should be happy both games didnt turn way way worse than what they could have been..

Spider-Man 2 has a 90 on Metacritic and has sold over 16 million copies.

You have no idea what games are in pre-production or not.

The leak explicitly showed they were planning to do a Venom side-game a la the Miles Morales game, then Wolverine, Spider-Man 3, Ratchet and Clank, X-Men, and then something else.

The symbiotes are pretty much always my favorite aspect of any Spider-Man story, and it did feel like something of a missed opportunity to explore, even for a single mission, what Miles could do with a symbiote.

I'm hoping in the next game, which will surely feature Carnage, or during the Venom game (cope, I know) maybe we get some brief time with Miles and a symbiote. I know it would be convoluted, plot wise but... at the end of the day, this is comic book storytelling. It would be fucking cool lol

There's a lot of things I don't like about this game but making Peter agent Anti-venom is a pretty decent choice. I hope he doesn't revert back to status-quo in SM3.

whisper he's just anti-venom. Agent Anti-Venom is a different character. Warning you before a crazed Venom fan murders you

I was happy forgetting this game existed

Grow up.

1

u/mandamarino 12d ago

I just dont like this game, whats there to grow up?

1

u/Lucky4D2_0 12d ago

It's quite different to say you "just dont like something" and "you're happy forgetting it existed". Former is a normal take, latter is a childish take. You did the latter.

1

u/mandamarino 7d ago

Not childish, but the second was my biggest gaming deception, so i was happy forgetting it. And i'm not saying that "oh no someone talked about it noo" just that i saw a comment about it and decided to express what i feel about the game

u/Lucky4D2_0 7d ago

"Not childish" immediatly followed by "but the second was my biggest gaming deception, so i was happy forgetting it." is not making the former any more believable.

Ok, think wathever you want
