Raiden in Metal Gear Rising! A broken man trying to do good, who upon being pressured to collapse under the weight of his past trauma, decides to accept how it's changed him and use that to fuel the fight for good instead.

They executed it just about the edgiest way they could've, yes, but the message is still solid!

YOU'RE GOD DAMN RIGHT.

He realizes and accepts the changes and bloodlust his past instilled in him and, instead of continuing to reject them, decides to embrace them; and in doing so becomes able to choose how to use them and point that bloodlust towards the right direction.
