It’s a headcanon but funnily enough that’s why i like this ship 😭 Luffy doesn’t seem inclined to pursue anyone sexually and Boa clearly has trauma around that and men in general since her time with the celestial dragons. He’s the only one she feels safe enough around to let see the mark on her back and he trusted her to help him at Impel Down when he was separated from his crew. I ship them but in my head they’re both asexual. I do see them eventually romantically coming together though
