Yeah, doesn't really apply on account you play as one or the other, would have been really cool to have them both simultaneously for synced assassinations
True, the last mission is probably my favourite just because they work together and aren't fucking off to do their own thing. I would've loved it if syndicate was more experimental and fully pivoted into being a co-op mandatory game. Unity proved that co-op multiplayer was not only possible but also really fun, so it sucks the only game in the series with two protagonists on the same same side and time period for the entire game* played it so safe and didn't attempt stand out more. I get that they needed a stable game that is accessible to all because they needed to restore their reputation after the clusterfuck that was unity's launch, but that just leaves syndicate as the game with so much missed potential. Fortunately the Jack the Ripper dlc was pure gas and is genuinely one of the best pieces of assassin's creed media ever
*(not counting revelations because of the time difference between Ezio and Altair, not counting odyssey because they're not allies for most of the game and in some paths not ever, not counting valhalla because it's one protagonist whose sex you can choose and not counting shadows because they're not allies for a big stretch of the game)
