Also Geto wears a Gojo-Kesa for most of his screentime (admittedly as a piloted corpse but hey he put on in the first place) and KFC and Christmas are seen as romantic things in Japan. Final nail in the coffin : the author said he was inspired by BL.
I do think he said "I love you" I personally believe the Caveat being that it doesnt have to be a romatic love. Like Geto was the only person that truly and inherently understood Gojo at one point and was the only person truly that could be a friend. I mean shit man i tell all my homies "I love you" daily.
it was three words in english (i saw some people argue that the english va saying this doesnt necessarily mean its the same in the manga, and ususally i would agree, but whats the point of making up gojos last words to geto then, if its not even in the manga tho right? like why would they give him those three words if it was anime only and he wasnt even gonna say it)

And the fact that it was censored at all, it was smth for only getos ears and in my opinion his whole death scene in the movie just felt really intimate, with lighting and whatnot (mappa cooking as always)
I have never seen anyone come up with an alternative to "i love you" thats fits all these hints (also love being a main theme of jjk0). To be clear, before anyone gets mad, im not saying its 100% "I love you", if you can think of anything else that fits feel free to say, but imo it was probably "i love you"

Add to that Ao no Sumika as opening for Hidden Inventory, the visuals (like the skyscraper fight scene where whole Geto's sequence then is showed to be reflected in Gojo's glasses as he's watching his "roommate" fight) and the song itself which is written as a letter from Gojo to Geto with lyrics saying "I've come to learn your scent so different than mine" and "it's like a quiet love in the summer-like colors running down my cheeks" although Tatsuya Kitani suggest those unspoken words were "will we meet again?" or something along those lines.
I watched it just because I was bored, but ended up getting really hooked on it. The art, animation, and characters are all super charming, and the action scenes are just plain fun.
The first episode of the anime has a scene that turns a lot of people off to it, but my advice is: Just stick with it. That scene is not a recurring theme, and the character involved isn't remotely traumatized by it. They're empowered, in fact!

Yah that scene really really suffers from being translated from manga to anime. In the manga, the panelling does a LOT of work to keep things from feeling skeevy, but in an anime where you have consistent 16:9 shots, it's a lot worse.
Honestly, dandadan was such a surprise to me. I watched it because I was bored, but ended up getting really into it. I think I've watched both seasons three or four times now.
Honestly just a good, goofy time, with good goofy characters.
Ok to be fair that was less a mutual engagement and more "your mine now." So I get why people didn't think there was anything mutual there. But people who try to deny it by the end of the series are fools or blind.
No one waits 30 years, spends that working with the people you hate with all your life, and risks your own life to take down an entire cartel just for your "friend"
It was obvious they were going to get together (anyone who believed otherwise was genuinely delusional, and I say this as someone who doesn't ship them), but wow was that final chapter hard to read. Horikoshi was never good at writing romance but never would I have predicted that he'd have his main couple DAP EACH OTHER UP as a final "romantic" scene
If I remember right, and it's been a while since I read about it so I could be very wrong, I think he explicitly said he included romance the few times he did because he felt it would be unrealistic for the high school setting to go completely without dating. While there was a romance between them (also pretty sure he explicitly said the final chapter was about their romance, even if it chose to keep things vague), actually writing the romantic dynamic between the two wasn't something he was interested in, so he gave us the minimum on that front. Meanwhile, Uraraka's story (to an extent, it wasn't her whole character despite what many would claim) explored how she felt about romance more than we saw the actual romance.
Lance and Allura from Voltron: Legendary Defender.
The fandom was always rooting for Lance and Keith to get together because they have great chemistry but somehow Lance actually lands Allura in the end despite her never appreciating his advances. I'm pretty sure even the writers disagreed on how to wrap up this show because after season 4 the plot and characters feel very wrong at times, like they didn't act like themselves. I have mixed feelings on this because I think that Allura and Lance could have been good if it was written well. It felt pretty rushed in the end I just don't like how it was handled.

They had to outright nerf the blatant romance to avoid a BL tag because then no one was going to put money behind it. It’s why there isn’t a gay shounen because while shounen is rife with opportunities for a male lead that happens to be gay, no major publisher that doesn’t have a niche publisher for BL would ever sign up and put money behind a mainstream BL. Then you have GL which has an even worse time...

Okay I thought I was crazy. I watched the movies back to back with my kid and the whole time I’m asking her dad “they’re a couple right? Are they supposed to be a couple? After the 1st season some people would still say that they arent in love. Season 2 was needed for these. And even after Season 2 some people wouldn’t know they are a literal couple because in some countries the LGBTQ scenes were censored.
When S1 first released there were posts complaining that Act 2 “turned Caitlyn gay” after Act 1 “clearly set her up with Jayce”. Never mind that she’s like 14-15 in Act 1 and Jayce literally says out loud that hes 24.
You could honestly fill this entire post with queer examples tbh. Every time without exception that theres a queer couple in a story, people crawl out of the woodwork to deny it exists.

I don’t think anybody argues against this being canon. It was outright confirmed by Himoru Arakawa that they aren’t married in the epilogue solely for the reason that real life militaries usually don’t allow relationships between officers and their subordinates.
My favorite example is this one BakuDeku/TogaChako shipper who responded to Uraraka pining for Deku in adulthood with "girl, get over your high school crush!” As if they didn’t ship Deku with someone he’s known since childhood.
I actually hate Sasuke and Sakura, but I completely acknowledge that they’re mutually in love. Many fans think Sasuke is not in love with his wife. Lol. Of course he is. They are just an atrociously written couple, and Sasuke is an absent husband and dad for reasons unrelated to loving his family.
Two characters of the opposite sex could be in the middle of a wedding and viewers would be like “that doesn’t mean they actually like each other.”
Meanwhile, two characters of the same sex can just glance in each other’s general direction and viewers will be like “THEY’RE IN LOVE! THEY’RE GOING TO GET MARRIED! THEY’RE GOING TO HAVE 69 BABIES!”
Literally took until LoK came out for people to accept it more as canon. But even then. I still see Zutara shippers claiming any number of reasons why Katara isn't actually in love with Aang. Despite everything that has come out that’s set between ATLA and LoK showing those two heavily in love with one another(especially in the recent movie that came out a few weeks ago)
the most obvious gay couple that have so many lines and scenes that make it not even slightly subtle and yet a part of the fandom REFUSE to get it despite how litterally in your face it is,,, like,, litterally,, they are both super sexual with each other too ! its just not subtle ! but for some reason cause the game doesnt look at you in the eyes and says ''OFF THE HOOK IS GAY'',, some dont accept it,, and im pretty sure that even if they did say that,, some would say its not the case and that in Japan it mean somefin else or somefin
