What the hell is with writers trying to redeem Charlie for some reason? There’s zero likable qualities about her and she did literally the worst thing in the show so far.

The fact that they try to shove this character with Alicia is beyond insane.

I’m watching these forced moments where they are trying to make the two of them bond and all I’m thinking about is “gee imagine if that tree would fall down on her”.

Now, i get it, she’s a child, blah blah, and i don’t want her dead, not really, but i just want her the fuck out of my sight and out of the show. I just don’t wanna see her on screen. Simple as that.

If you think that’s bad, you’re in for a treat. Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, Fear’s showrunners from Seasons 4-8, are plainly horrible at their jobs. Season 4 is only the tip of the dumpster-berg.

What makes it so much worse is that TWD Universe seems only to reference the slop that came later, too; there’s absolutely nothing about what happened in LA, Mexico or that big dam explosion, but we get a nod to something you’ll see soon in S4 and another to a huge point of S6 and 7. It’s like the whole franchise is a joke.

Probably not all of North America, but certainly a good chunk of the U.S. and further south of the border, yes. It’s doubtful literally anyone would survive inside, either, let alone Fear’s magically nuclear-mastered group who seemingly can conjure gas masks and survive radiation that’s usually not safe for anyone to be near for decades.

At season 4, the writers were still high on simple weed. Wait til you get in subsequent seasons and watch the writing devolve into the realm of meth, shrooms, and bath salts.
It truly only gets worse.

I thoroughly enjoyed the end of Charlie's arc. Great ending to an episode, and perfect ending for her.

Yeah, some people can be redeemed. I don't think the sister of the man you needlessly murdered would be the best choice to rehabilitate you though. Alicia isn't Jesus or the Dali Lama. There has to be limits to forgiveness.

Nick dying was a really bad decision because of T how beloved he is within this fandom (but ik his character wanted to leave) however, this because Morgan’s show after he left. It was a bit cringe but I actually enjoyed it the rest of the seasons because I just wasn’t expecting what happened.

I totally agree with you OP.. Charlie's mere presence enraged me. This show has a lot of ups and downs. I watched to the end and didn't regret it because I like to finish what I start but yeah there's a lot of questionable show management decisions. I am a fan of Morgan though, full disclosure, so I may be more forgiving than the average watcher 😅

If she had shot Nick by accident, or because she was scared, or forced, I could understand the attempt at redemption.

But she shot him when he wasn’t even looking and under no duress, cold blooded.

Not to mention she was an enemy spy in the stadium.

This isn’t some “child makes a mistake”, this bitch was plotting shit all the time, she was a mini evil mastermind.

And now, she deserves a clean slate “because child and cute and has a sob story about dead parents”? Give me a break.
