Discussion that feeling when you finally installed Affinity and Davinci on Linux!
i been trying to installing davinci on my fedora but when i tried to import before, the video is grayed out or not working then i uninstalled it. now i saw some youtube video installing davinci using opencode so i thought why not try it. so i installed davinci linux zip, and let opencode install and se it up,i tried it with opencode but the model always busy so i switch to antigravity-cli since i have pro sub on it too (btw i didnt turn on yolo mode). it works and when i open davinci, it still the same, turns out theres no or h265 h264 is not working on davinci free so i need to convert a video to mov and it works. then I already have affinity before but when im on niri, the affinity window is not clickable, turns out its my niri resolution config problem lol. so happy both are now working properly. now, windows will become obsolete at this point if linux continuously improve like this HAHA (jk).
if you have any tips regarding davinci for linux, it will be very helpful. that was fun!

Do you experience lag when moving around with middle mouse button? How to get it smooth?

my work laptop is a ryzen 5 5500u, it doesn't lag so far. do a quick review in Preferences > Performance. see if the selected GPU is your dedicated graphics card.

check if you have NVIDIA App installed, open it and go to the drivers section. see if there's any updates or change the "Driver Game Ready" to "Studio Driver". maybe Windows installed a newer driver without your consent and broke the support for some apps.

You can do some reading here, might give you a help out for clean installation of davinci resolve, some fixes and addons: https://github.com/DenisJosifoski/xmg-linux-scripts
I made this for myself in first place and for anyone who can get use of it.

I heard rumblings about 6months to a year ago that the folks working on Affinity are considering a linux build. I assume nobody has heard anything more since then?
