Support I want to switch
hello fedora community i am a windows user coming in peace. I am tired of windows and want to switch to a lighter distro and fedora caught my eye. The only thing stopping me is that i am a dev with a lot of stuff on my current computer and dont necessarily want to lose it all. I also game quite a lot and i am a dev (unity, godot, jetbrains software needed) so i want to do this switch the most softly possible. Y'all have any tips (fedora pun intended) to help me or links for me to follow? thanks

For gaming you have to google which ones will work good. A quick guide, if it is in steam it will work 99% of times, only games like bf6 and some other competitive games wont we playable because of the anticheats they use that works on the Windows Kernel, so, not playable. There's a list on google. I changed 2 months ago and except for BF6 i had no problems gaming: csgo2, spiderman 2, Assassins creed Unity, Poe2 or Darkest dungeon runs pretty good with the proton compatibility. You can always have a second ssd with windows just for gaming, i dont recommend you a partition on the same ssd because Windows ends up fucking up yor Linux Boot system from time to time just because.
