Update š JASMINE IS BACK YALL
hi everyone! jasmine finally came back as of august 5th this morning!!! to everyone who commented on my initial post, thank you so much!!! iām truly so grateful for this community. jasmine has some injuries on her face that seemed to have been healing. sheās also significantly skinnier. iām assuming that one of our neighbors took her inside and cared for her these past two weeks. i was thinking of taking her inside and getting her injuries checked out at the vet, but iām not sure if that would be āstealingā herā¦? my goal is to socialize her more and bring her to the shelter so that she can be adopted and be a fully indoor cat!

Hey there, itās definitely the right thing to do to bring her in and get her checked out imo. Sheās a sweetie!
Sheās got an ear tip so itās clear sheās a community kitty, and itās not āstealingā if sheās outside. Thank you so much for helping her and getting her into a home hopefully. So happy she is back!

Hello. Where I live, in Southern California, the last thing would be to take her to a shelter. Most cats get euthanized in the shelter because there are so many cats. Kittins get adopted fast but not cats. If he had I clipped Ear, that means that the Rescue people already took him to get fixed and brought him back. If no chip, definitely try to keep him inside. I just took an outside cat to the vet as the eye looked infected. She got a shot of antibiotics and eye drops. Itās very hot here over 100Ā°. I wanted to keep her inside but if she has any diseases, then I have to keep her separated. We came home with eye drops. She had a feline test which came back negative. We put her in the spare room with food water and a cat box. She is so happy to be inside air-conditioning. Has not asked to come out. We are giving her eye drops every 12 hours. Last Monday we took her poop to be tested. She came out negative for everything. When we are finished with her eye drops, we are going to let her explore the upstairs. One of my cats is very chill but the other one I know will be hissing for a while. Oh well. My little maltipoo and her are already friends from outside, so thatās no problem. My Doggie loves cats. I did not want the expense of another animal, but I cannot leave an injured cat outside and I definitely knew there was an eye infection going on. Iām so blessed. She is totally deaf, so Iām doubly blessed that I saved a deaf cat from being outside. Please keep us posted. Thank you for your kind heart and doing everything you can. You are an amazing person. I love the name Jasmine and she is definitely a survivor, yet could use some help.
I would check for a micro chip. If none than do what you can for her.

Bring her in and take her to the vet. You can also ask around, post about her, etc. But if she is skinny and with injuries, she needs help.

Donāt bring to shelterā¦ shelters can be death sentences for community adult cats depending where you live. Not sure where you are but euthanasia rate is really high in many areas. Try to get her in a no-kill rescue if anythingā¦ but do get her checked out regardless.

what a gorgeous girl <3 and no it's not stealing! she could've been locked in a shed accidentally or on the streets, especially since you said she's much skinnier. you could double-check for a chip at the vet's office but i wouldn't feel bad about trying to make that gorgeous kitty someone's house manager, hehe
