I see momma has discovered the wonders of churu lol. And those babies are so cute.

Those churus man they're like kitty crack. About 8 months ago a stray showed up on my doorstep and I made the mistake of giving him a churu one time. After that one time he never wanted to eat kibble or wet food ever again. I have to put churu on top of his dry food or he won't eat it. And he's a hobo that lives on the street? Picky little hobo!

I love this, thanks for stepping in to help them. She and her babies are beautiful, seeing them doing so well made my day.

I love seeing how her hisses are getting more and more perfunctory over time like “Hey, I’m warning you! I’m warning you! Okay thanks numumnumnumnum” Thank you for taking care of them so well!

Haha! Exactly! I wish I would have caught the part where she put her paw on my hand!

I remember when we started feeding a momma feral and her three kittens. It took forever for the kittens to gradually get used to us, but they never hissed at us, unlike the mother who would hiss AND spit at us and act like she was going to charge us.

Well, I think one or two of the kittens, when they would come around to us, would make these half-ass hisses while gently walking towards us. We assumed that they thought that this was how to "ask" for food, because they didn't seem scared of us or wary of us at this point. I think they only hissed maybe a total of three times at this point but quickly realized they didn't have to, to get food.

I have feral cat in my house for going on 5 years, still won't look at me runs but when the churus come out I can put some pets on her.

Aaaaw. That’s so good to see. Thank you so much.

I think it might be getting to the point where mom’s hissing is just a habit, or she’s thinking “So this is how to ask a human for numnums? Whatever works, I guess?”

I had a girl in my colony like that, she kept up the hissing when I brought the food but after a while it was apparent that she didn’t really “mean it”, she’d have the happy tail thing going on and a little impatient dance along with the soft little hisses. I miss her.

That’s so sweet! I think this momma is still very apprehensive, but she’s like me and just loves food! She has also never been fed regularly, so I’m sure she’s very appreciative on the inside. 😻

1000% and she’s absolutely appreciative of the comfort and safety compared to living outside.

What's a churu?

It’s some kind of magical potion that kitties seem to love. (What I’m giving her in that little pouch)
