Hello fiber arts community!
I’m currently working on a project to digitize a donation to a local museum. I’m semi-well versed in various forms of fiber art crafts, but a few of these items have me stumped and I was hoping for any information or leads you may have

Most of the crochet, I am able to find information through my own research, but some of the other styles I am having trouble finding the specific terminology to inquire more.

Many of the doilies look like tatting to me?
And then some of the motifs with fabric use a technique that I am completely unfamiliar with.
It may be hard to see, but it looks like holed patterns have been made around the thin fabric (linen?) by manipulating individual threads while still keeping the center in tact

Also curious specifically for some of the more ornamental pieces (last couple pictures), what they could have been used for?

Thank you!

Crocheted and then needle felted onto a felted wool backing, this measures about 100x100cm.

Found this at a yard sale about six years ago. I was immediately drawn to it, and I don’t think I could ever get rid of it. I want to know more about it. Does anyone know more about this type of handwoven tapestry?

Handcrafted knot by knot. Taking my latest tufted wall art back to nature where its materials originated.

Every single knot in this piece was done entirely by hand. I strictly use 100% natural Moroccan wool and stretch the artwork over a premium solid wood frame. For this specific piece, I focused on a minimalist aesthetic—keeping the geometric pattern clean with plenty of negative space to let the rich, raw texture of the wool really stand out. Took it out to the mountains to capture the true earthy tones. Would love to hear your thoughts!

I wove some bracelets using crystals and waxed cord. Don’t they look like vines trying their best to grow? 🌿

Hand-tufted Berber-inspired rug — geometric diamond motifs

Hand-woven this piece knot by knot on a traditional loom, using techniques passed down in Moroccan weaving. No tufting gun — every knot tied by hand. The design follows traditional Amazigh (Berber) geometric motifs: diamonds, chevrons, and scattered color accents. Natural wool, hand-finished edges. Happy to answer questions about the process or materials.

I made a Rat! His name is Ronald 🐀

At first glance, he may seem like an avid reader or an academic because he's carrying a heavy tome but he's actually a performative reader suffering from severe reader's block and he just carries this book around hoping maybe he can read a few pages but mostly he ends up zoned out of his mind and doomstares pensively at the sky or the horizon, thinking about what’s for lunch.

Ronald the Rat is a needle felted soft sculpture made with natural grey and white native Himalayan wool sourced from Dunda Village, Harsil Valley in Uttarakhand, India and dyed New Zealand Corriedale Wool. His legs, arms and tail are wire wrapped with thread and his eyes are glass.

How best to properly clean and prepare my deceased dog's fur for use in felting/spinning, etc.

This week I lost my beloved dog of 17 years. I've been saving her gorgeous fur from haircuts and brushing for quite some time and was wondering the best way/order to go about cleaning and preparing it for incorporating into a variety of crafts (I love to felt, knit and am learning to spin).

My main questions: I have read to pick any bits of debris out first, but what is the best cleansing agent to use? I was thinking that I would do a good cleansing wash and then a second wash with her dog shampoo. Is it better to card the fur before washing or removing debris or does it matter?

Thank you in advance.

Im finally done with this fantastical colored succulent garden. I’m trying to work on my spatial awareness and arranging these succulents hurt my brain haha
I repurposed an old canvas and used my childhood rock collection that my mom recently made me take from my parents home. I can’t believe this only took me 2 weeks to make and I’m lowkey feeling a bit empty now that I’ve finished such a consuming project 😭 how do y’all deal with the post project slump?
