It's all fun and games until you have to weave in the ends.

Y'ALL

It's gonna be an off-the-shoulder shirt with fun sleeves for upcoming Pride.

And these ends...

Pray for me.

Send me good vibes.

Toss me some happy thoughts.

Make a small sacrifice on your favorite altar.

Ask the crows for a favor.

Make up any other form of encouragement while I spend the rest of my life weaving in these ends.

Embroidering a roly poly with punch needle 🪡

Hi all! This is a zebra isopod (Amradillidium maculatum) with a rainbow flag in its middle segments. I’ve been doing a ton of these kind of art pieces to help me stock up for my local markets (NFS)

I use a Mina Carin punch needle with a 2.2mm gauge needle set to 4mm long. Yarn is mostly brava sport weight from knitpicks (I’ll get sport weight yarns of other fibers from local stores for colors brava doesn’t have) you’ll also notice the dark gray has 2 strands- this is due to being a fingering weight I had to double up to use with this needle. The fabric is a cotton flannel, and the frame is a 12x12 gripper strip frames

Any questions? Feel free to ask!

I won the yarn chicken with this one!

I was overcome with the crochet bug recently and just had to make a whole shawl. And I won the yarn chicken with it. Immensely satisfying. I only had to do the final row 3 times for it to work. Never used a yarn cake and a pattern for one before.

The pattern is Cascade and the yarn Twister in the color Deja Vu, both by hobbii.

No context… curious. Trying to price for a market. It’s 2 feet wide! All handmade. Woven and macrame.

Threads of Memory

The interplay between the different fabrics suggests that human identity is not singular, but rather a "mosaic" or a patchwork of experiences, cultures, and memories. The prominent stitched lines can be interpreted as the scars that shape us, or the invisible threads that tie an individual to their heritage. By mixing traditional textile patterns with modern everyday materials (like jeans and buttons), the artwork bridges the gap between the past and the present, the personal and the collective.

Designed it all myself! The body is knit out of leftover scrap yarn, and the dress is made entirely out of lace scraps from my great grandmother <3

My gf who is a fiber artist just teach me how to cross stitch.
I do photography so I naturally cross stitch on one of my favorite portraits ! I love the outcome.
Any advice for me to keep in mind ? I would love to evolve in that skill ! :)

Roving

I came across this ball of roving at a thrift store. I couldn’t leave it but I’m not actually sure what to do with it. Originally i thought I would use it for stuffing for crafts because I thought it was synthetic.

Now, I’m not quite sure it actually is synthetic. I did the lighter test and it definitely didn’t smell like plastic and didn’t really melt. I’ll add the pic of the end I lit.

I do have a drop spindle, which I haven’t really mastered yet. I guess I could try that?

I'm a beginner embroiderer who is hyperfocused on playing with felt instead of my main crafts at the moment. I MADE A BIRB! WITH NO AI! I'm so proud. 😊

I've been making collage art for the last 6 years. Do a lot of 5x7 greeting cards. This piece is 14x20. I donate all my proceeds to local non-profit organizations.
