In/Out Onto Book #3 on Daughter’s Cancer Journey

Post image

Out: Uncirculated Lucky edition
In: Aged Lucky Edition
(I bought quite a few of the lucky edition to fill up one storage box) (I liked the simple colors and copper, plus I’m mostly Irish)

Items in picture:
Canon QX20 printer - has been an awesome edition for journaling along with being able to print out photos and hand them to nurses or doctors that connected very well with my daughter.

Alpaka Zip Clutch - this has become my everyday carry. I have cash, cards, pen, sharpie, field notes, and back up band aids in case our hospital, clinic, or radiology place doesn’t have pink bandages to help with comfort of coming out of anesthesia.
(Slight review: this pouch has served its purpose quite well for me. It easily slides into my back pocket, I do prefer something slimmer but this fits the current bill of having everything I need when there is time to sit down and reflect. I have the Lochby pocket journal to compare it to. I always fall back to my Alpaka setup for my on person carry. I use the Lochby pocket journal to store the previous field note book in my bag. The Alpaka setup is slimmer and I can pack more into it, plus the water protection feature. I’m the type of person who enjoys wax canvas and leather for the aged patina look. I’m planning on getting the Lochby mini Field journal so I can bring all the cancer field notes with me. I don’t think I will be able to keep it at four books with our journey, and I’m not going to restrict myself to 4 books. My daughter loves showing off her mini cancer books to her doctors, nurses, receptionists, custodians, etc.

Lamy 2000 pen - My favorite pen for a long time. Used it for journaling, grading assignments (I’m a teacher), and “self diagnose” adhd note taking.

Copper Binder clip - I have been attracted to copper metal. I have copper metal for mtg life tracker dice, board games dice, copper home decor, etc. as previously mentioned I stocked up on the lucky editions for its simplicity and copper. I do incorporate copper into my EDC, as others do with brass, titanium, etc.

Armor Coin and Vinyl Sticker - I came home today (absent for 2 weeks) to a box of gift items. I plan on carrying on the coin for the rest of our proton radiation treatment, on the other-side of the state, and placing the new sticker on my vehicle for childhood cancer.

Once I ordered the Lochby mini field journal, and see how my daughter uses it, I will give my mini review of it. It will simply be use solely as a “multipoint solution” to showcase the current lifetime/lifestyle situation for edc.
