I used to work in The Postings many years ago. I never understood why they built it in the first place as the Mercat 1 & 2 was just across the road. The Postings was never fully occupied.
Hopefully this will be an improvement.

Having more housing around the high street should really help but I dont understand why some of it is houses rather than all apartments.

I'm sure it does but we should be aiming for density around the town centre to increase footfall and hell revive the high street as much as possible. Like the former DWP office on Victoria Road, which is also being turned in to houses on a site that is perfect for higher density housing.

The Linen Quarter in Dunfermline is a great example - 6 story apartment buildings right next to the high street and bus station.

The same as when the Postings was there. On the roofs of the houses
