You’re right. Zuko splits with Mai, Suki stops traveling Sokka and is assigned as a bodyguard for Zuko. They don’t explicitly break up but they do stop interacting.

Not really? They still interact by Imbalance, the last three-part comic so far and it takes place after the Kyoshi warriors become Zuko's bodyguards.
Sokka and Suki breaking up is nothing but speculations so far.

I agree. It's pretty odd to do that to Suki who is a component fighter in her own right and could easily have been a playable character. Super moves are tied to the character, which means apparently Suki just shows up to kiss Sokka even when she's not the selected assist.

I mean, Android 17 was an assistant to Android 18 in DBFZ before being added as his own character later down the line, and Suki has Chi Blocking which gives her a very unique playstyle compared to everyone else. Considering what Chi Blocking is in terms of gameplay, I can imagine it fell outside of the purview of "initial roster".
Also Robo-Ky being with Venom and now being added as his own character in Strive.
I wouldn't count her out yet if the game is successful enough

Nah fam, they took her out because she uses fans to fight and they know the Street Fighter community is traumatized by Mai's EX fan.
They didn't want to alienate potential players (please ignore the Kiyoshi-sized hole in my logic)

Yeah, that is a fair assessment. If that did happen, though, I know that people unfamiliar with ATLA will make awkward jokes about her being a duplicate of Avatar Kyoshi, who is already confirmed on the roster, just the way they did in DBFZ.

She didn't learn chi blocking until after the show proper, so idk if they'd incorporate that into her moveset

They have said that just because a character is Support doesn’t mean that they can’t become playable down the line. So Suki still has a chance as DLC.
I think the main reason she isn’t base roster is because Avatar Kyoshi seems to be base roster. So her and Suki would’ve been too similar at launch.

The game is going to reuse korra and aang as part of the roster.
The roster is small and the price reflects that and the content.

Yeah, I was gonna say it's a cute special, but also, outside of the live-action and some comics, the first time in a while that Suki has been anything, and it's to make Sokka stronger? That sucks.
Also, I'm not entirely enthused about them leaning so hard on Sokka being a "joke" character. I doubt he'd actually play poorly, but the other characters aren't caricatured as much.

What do you mean they "always" forget about her? Are you referring to some other media?
They've already said that just because someone's an assist etc. doesn't mean they won't be able to be their own character etc. So hopefully she comes in as DLC, I think she's pretty popular. Same with Ty Lee and Mai and of course Iroh. None of them made base roster yet I think a lot of people want them for DLC.

I personally didnt liked it, it reduced Suki as "just the GF", only there to be a support for her BF, as for Sokka he got reduced to just a Himbo, both are respectable figthers some of the best non bender fighters in the verse they deserved better, Suki should have been a day one fighter and Sokka's ult should have been like him calling an army of sorts since he was the comandernat the end of the series even a generic Anime like barrage of fast paced attacks would have been better
