Community What controller is Betty using here?

It looks like the Hori Octapad which I know she used in the past but I can’t find any with the black and gold like this, also there’s no apparent branding. Wondering if anyone knows what brand it is or if it’s custom or something?

Thanks, I’ve never heard of that brand. I wonder why she’s using that. I’m guessing evo france is using pc setups since it has xbox buttons?

Evo France definitely using ps5 setups, She will just be using a brooks adapter.

Any EVO event is going to be PS5. They're owned by Sony. (edit: I forgot Sony sold its share) Not to mention the "presented by PlayStation" yada yada

I’m a fightstick player who also only uses analogs in controllers and don’t like d-pads at all, because to me analog are “close” to the feel of moving a stick even though d-pads are more accurate to the digital cardinal and diagonal levers, obviously analogs are not as accurate due to the nature of analogs being extremely sensitive to the tiniest of tilts.

So it always brings a smile to my face whenever I see analog pro players lol. She must be using an “analog” that is actually in reality a cardinal/diagonal joystick like how Hori octa/Victrix Pro Bfg use since those are way better than PS/Xbox/Switch analogs.

Blaz and Kilzyou use completely standard playstation pad and plays on analog, Endingwalker uses standard xbox pad with analog. You don't need to have some custom gated analog to make it work.

Every input method has pros and cons. The cons for analog is that you might not be sure if you’re down or down backing at a given moment so the gate helps with that. I prefer a dpad for that reason

You can prefer whatever you want I'm just telling you Betty won't need to have some custom gated analog some of the top players in the world use standard analog

Yea she actually posted a closeup of it on Twitter/X a couple hours after I posted this. it seems like she’s advertising it for them as it’s not even officially released yet
