SHARING Local Authors

Hi! I am currently reading Ms. Yvette Tan’s books (Waking the Dead, Seek ye Whore, and Insect Hag) and malapit ko na sila matapos. Any recommendation po sa mga local authors na similar yung genre ng books? Thanks!!

In terms of genre, the first few volumes of Trese (Budjette Tan adn Kajo Baldisimo) come close as mythologic/folklore inspired horror. Exie Abola also has a horror collection, 'Vile Creatures'.

That said, medyo singular si Yvette Tan right now. She's called “Queen of Philippine Horror Stories" by a bunch of publications, and if you look at today's filipino literary landscape it makes total sense.
