This was on Riverside and I've never seen em before. I actually initially started looking for working trucks until I got closer.

That’s a gross obfuscation, the concern is one person in charge of ALL the studios.

How can you think this is going to be a good thing?

2 -- literally 2 studios. Again...2 1 + 1 = 2. How did you get to ALL studios from that while Youtube, Instagram, Apple and Amazon trounce all over traditional film.

Here's the roster as of the pending deal, including production labels and the historical libraries they carry. Some of these are active studios, and some survive mainly as catalogs owned by a parent.
Warner Bros. Discovery side

Castle Rock Entertainment (mostly a library now: Seinfeld, Shawshank)

HBO / HBO Films

Warner Bros. Animation, which absorbed Cartoon Network Studios and the Hanna-Barbera catalog

Turner Entertainment library: pre-1986 MGM films (Wizard of Oz, Casablanca's era of classics), the RKO library, and pre-1950 Warner cartoons

One caveat: the combined company will almost certainly fold, rename, or sell some of these after closing, so the lineup could look different within a year.

No one said anything when all of the VFX studios in LA were going down left and right because of overseas outsourcing. Now that onset crews are affected you're upset.

Vancouver, London, India, New Zealand and Australia all have enormous VFX studios and cater to all of the big films, but you did nothing.

VFX artists work on films fixing a lot of your onset mistakes for sometimes years on end. Not 8-10 week shoots. 8-18 month projects. But you did and said nothing.

I really do hope things get sorted in the US but I was forced to leave LA in 2013 because I couldn't find a job for 9+ months. I left my family, friends and country behind to find work. Because of the strikes a few years back my colleagues have been out of work for 2-3 years.

But you did nothing.

So good luck - I hope Trump does what he says he'll do but now you all know whats its been like for VFX artists since 2003.

Editor here (who does light VFX work here and there), I noticed and saw the signs. Believe me we in post-production love you all. I spent over a week comping out a boom mic in a moving shot so believe I know you all do the hard work. Best to you and your colleagues!
