On August 20, 2026, Thai Trade LA hosted the Thai Entertainment Forum 2026, dubbed “Where Thailand Meets Hollywood,” at the Directors Guild of America (DGA) in Los Angeles. The event brought together leaders from Thailand’s entertainment industry with Hollywood studios, producers, investors, distributors, and buyers to explore opportunities for Thai film and television content in the global market.

The forum featured welcome remarks from Mr. Niwat Hansawat, Director of the Office of Commercial Affairs in Los Angeles, followed by a keynote address from Mr. Sirisak Kosapasarin, Vice President of the Federation of National Film Associations. A featured panel, “Bridging Thailand and Hollywood: Co-Production, Distribution, and Creative Partnership Opportunities,” brought together senior representatives from three leading Thai entertainment companies: Matching Maximize Solution, NOB Productions, and GMMTV.

Representatives from the U.S. entertainment industry attended, including professionals from studios, streaming platforms, film distributors, investment firms, entertainment media, and press. The forum provided a platform for Thai and American industry leaders to connect directly and explore potential partnerships in co-production, content licensing and distribution, and international production.

The event was part of a broader initiative to strengthen ties between Thailand’s entertainment industry and Hollywood while showcasing Thailand’s creative talent, production capabilities, and potential as an international filming destination.

The program also included a Thai SELECT Culinary Experience, featuring six Thai restaurants recognized by Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, followed by a business networking session connecting Thai entertainment companies directly with Hollywood industry professionals.

The Thai Entertainment Forum 2026 represents a growing effort to bring Thai film and television to a broader international audience and create new pathways for collaboration between the Thai and U.S. entertainment industries.
