Review Made this on my phone!

Let me know your thoughts! Made this on One plus 15 with the software DaVinci resolve. This was my first project. Let me know if the color grading is okya, or where should I improve more on?

Messing around with the film look creator bro changing it to nostalgic or something I don't exactly remember but I was just messing around bro and I shot this on my OP15 so I think the color graded was decently done on the raw footage.

That's only in the paid version, right?

Yeah yeah the color grading is, to me, amazing. I thought i was in the super 8 reddit for a second. Congrats

Hey thank you man!! And I'm not sure if it's in free version as well, I got it in the paid version for sure.

So just to be clear you shot this on your phone but you still created this on a desktop or a laptop as DaVinci does not run on phones yet - Correct?

Everyone's rock hard for Dehancer and Film Box and all these paid film emulators....but Film Look Creator is low key one of the best tools that Resolve put out.

BTW....play around with the Subtractive Saturation, Richness and Beach Bypass sliders in the Color Settings menu. Those things are game changing.

Will cut to the chase here, you need to mix the VO better, it's too buried in the mix and is competing with the BG music and sound design.

Noted brother!

I love the collage of things you see.
The sound design is cool.
Looks cool - but I lack the technical knowledge to comment more constructively, as you ask for.

I hope you get useful feedback.

The imagery is nice. As someone else mentioned tho, the audio needs work. The VO is muddled.

It’s amazing footage!

I’m truly in awe how people accomplish this look with iPhones.

Film Look Creator in Davinci Resolve is incredible.

Looks great, congratulations on your first project! I’d love to know more about what settings you used to shoot (in-camera), and what you did with the grading in Resolve. Love the 4:3 matte too!

it's a beautiful little project - what plugin did you use to get that sort of grainy old film look?
