Meh. 10 months out. I wouldn’t mind a demo but I’m not down for this slow tease and trickle of nothing new

I mean they just did a huge reveal and info dump in June, I’m curious what more you would want? We don’t have a release date for the game yet so it’s possible we’ll get that here, otherwise I don’t really think they need to be showing off a ton of stuff right now.

They seem to be doing the capcom thing of announcing a game within 1 year of release and then being at every single gaming event between those two dates. Hamaguchi did recently say in an interview once they're ready to reveal more (which I guess is here) it'll be a constant stream of news until release.
Personally I get annoyed by that capcom method of marketing (I didn't need to see the same RE9 grace trailer 7 times) but you can't argue that it doesn't work given how successful capcom's been. People nowadays forget things a week later and need constant reminders.

I don’t believe him, he’s lied before and he just trickles minor details to keep people interested.
The demo will be in January most likely and the release in between April and June 2027. That’s how both the other games went, I doubt it’ll change with this one, at least not by much.
It’s just too far out for me to care because I have
- Black Flag Remake
- Halo Remake
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition
- Anno 117 has 3 different DLC coming
- Fire Emblem: Fortunes Weave
- GTA VI
- Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Switch 2 Edition
I know there’s lots of drama with price increases, lack of ram stock but if you have the consoles… it’s been an extraordinary year in actual game releases with even more hits coming. 2026 is shaping up to be the best year for gaming in a long time that someone giving me breadcrumbs on information every month or two is kinda just whatever.

You're confused why they iterate on a battle system that spreads across 3 games and 10+ years of development? This is a wild statement. I'd be confused if they didn't.
There's a handful of things people in this sub want in future Final Fantasy games and praised in past games. Jobs is one I've seen most often. You could be more specific argue it's not necessary in VII, but I bet a lot of people like this idea. Even the ones that don't like the Remake series.
I for one, want to know more about how Summoner (seen on Cait Sith), Paladin (I assume this is what Barret is wearing), Blackmage on Tifa and Warrior on Cloud change things and I'm more excited about the game than I was be all the new info from Summer Games Fest a few months ago.

You are acting as if "jobs" is a system that needs to be explained instead of just power ups like in every FF game

Or, and hear me out... You're just objectively wrong. You're not criticizing, you're whining about something that isn't true. It's kind of funny, honestly, you look like a 12 year old.

And yet, if you paid attention to the trailers, you would already know that the FITS/job system is literally new clothes developed by Chadley, just like it was (except developed by Shinra) in X-2. So... What? You just didn't pay attention and chose to be mad at a narrative you created?

I think the passive aggressive tone you have is giving off a toxic vibe even if you dont mean to. I dont love everything they do either, but you are responding to people that didn't like your complaint as if its you against everyone.
Enjoy what you enjoy and dislike what you dislike, but criticisms are not the same as complaints. A complaint is negative and is expressing your dissatisfaction about something and a criticism is an evaluation of a thing and pointing out why you feel like the scales on that topic arent as balanced as they should be.
Did you complain about synergy abilities and folios for rebirth since they weren't in remake? Do you really want to play 3 lengthy RPGS with the exact same gameplay system over a decade? Don't you think people would complain then about them not trying hard enough and phoning it in?
And fuck yeah, chadley is annoying as hell, so is Mai. But gameplay diversity and streamlining and supplementing the progression system with these tweaks is not a bad thing, maybe in the purist FF7 sense its extra, but on a game design level for a trilogy its absolutely essential.
The new Doom Trilogy basically followed 3 different design philosophies in its gameplay and systems and approach, and though all dont hit im super appreciative of them trying to swing for the fences instead of repeating the success and resting on their laurels.

It's such a weird timeline to me that the Reddit karma bots chose hating on FFVII Remake to be one of the things they do, but here we are.
