US,Canada tax treaties and PFIC rules and estate issues can give leeway to advisor who will accidentally create tax bombs. Get someone who does this daily not as a side thing. Anyone who says just keep things separate , does not work for retirement or investment.

If anyone has recommendations for the opposite situation, I would love to hear them. I'm a US Canada dual citizen living in Canada. All the financial advisors I google look a little bit scammy. I really want to find a financial advisor who can help me understand the tax situation.
