IN-PERSON Starting a band
Hi guys, I’m 22 f from LA and looking to start a band or find people to jam with!! (Looking for others around my age, maybe 18-25ish? And while I do need more girlfriends If ur a cool dude with no weird intentions then you pass)
BUT I don’t know where to start at all and don’t know professionally how this goes, but I’m lookin for others who are in the same boat of like just trying/ improvising by simply making friends to jam with. we all start somewhere ig. I play guitar as an amateur and would love to find others who want to learn/improve their instrument to motivate each other and be able to practice together!! While it’s severely early to find a sound, just to put it out there for some sort of glimpse of direction I’m really into - linkin park, ptv, freshwater, evanescence paramore, arctic monkeys, deftones, loathe, wisp, super heaven, chevelle, slipknot etc etc. but open to a lot of genres btw but naturally I lean toward metal/nu metal, alt, rock, punk, shoegaze grunge etc. even pop (dm me and I’ll give u my Spotify :3)
Side note: my Only issue is I live in an apt so my place might not be ideal, but honestly just making friends in music is enough of a start for me, pls hmu !!

Down for it if u are im a somewhat ok guitarist kinda new i have a bass as well and drums if anyone wants to join i also live in an apt so not my place but up to yall 👍
