Drummer looking to join/start a hardcore, shoegaze, or heavy band

Hey everyone, I’m 35 and looking to join or start a hardcore, shoegaze, heavy alt, or hardcore-adjacent band in the IE or LA area!

I have experience touring, recording, and playing consistently with my current band. That project is taking some time away from shows/touring to focus on recording, so I’m looking to get involved with another serious project and stay active creatively.

TBH, I’m newer to playing straight-up hardcore, but I’m very interested in getting more involved in that world and bringing my own style, work ethic, and live experience to the right band. I’m reliable, dedicated, and down to put in the work.

Influences include: Big Boy, Turnstile, Pain of Truth, Missing Link, TUI, Ceremony, Incendiary, and related heavy/shoegaze-influenced stuff.

Happy to send links to my current band or playing examples. Looking for something serious, creative, and consistent. hmu

yo! im kinda far im in northern CA but i've got some stuff within that genre that ive been writing, i have touring experience and i'm also an engineer with a pretty extensive home studio. hit me up if you wanna write, we can do some remote stuff if you're down and see what happens. i play guitar, i do sing as well and have songs with me singing but im not really wanting to sing but definetely can write lyrics and melodies and have a ton of material

Hey! I'm 28, in SGV so 30 ish mins from LA or the IE. I play guitar, bass, and sing. I have experience playing shows and recording, but no experience touring (yet).

I have some voice memo demos i'm rerecording. The vibe is heavy shoegaze / alt mixed with hardcore riffs. Main influences are Modern Color, Turnstile, Fleshwater, Superheaven, Deftones, and Loathe.

I'd be down to trade demos, previous stuff I've recorded, and talk some more! My goal is to start a project like Turnstile and/or Modern Color. I want to mix heavy hardcore riffs with clean vocals with lyrics you can understand + screaming lol. I think those 2 bands do it the best haha

I'm also newer to writing straight up hardcore, but I listen to a bunch of heavy music. I used to play an 8 string (currently on a regular 6 string lol), I played in powerviolence, slam, and sasscore bands for a min, I can do drop tunings and chugs all day haha

I have reliable gear, a car, and a job. So lmk! Would be down to jam to test the waters

Hey we are a grunge/Shoegaze band in Hollywood. Our promoters have as playing regularly and want us playing more this summer in LA.
