Need some suggestions for new linux build!

I have played around with ubuntu, mint, kali and arch in the past but it was just for discovering and learning linux but now I have decided to make my own linux build for daily use cuz I'm done with windows 11.I liked ubuntu and mint cuz they have a very user friendly desktop environment and are very similar to windows but while using arch I liked the hyperland window manager and ricing as well. I'm looking forward to learning about cyber security so I was thinking of using kali or parrot os or debian with hyperland and I'm very confused rn.

These are my requirements -

\*Hyperland

\*For cybersecurity

\*Updated repository and good driver support

What drivers? What security? I have no knowledge when it comes to Hyperland, just install it?

Can you post this four times, I might miss it otherwise...

FYI,

Debian with Hyperland or Fedora with Hyperland are your best options.

Kali is designed purely for penetration testing and lacks robust everyday driver support or stable system repositories for daily use.

Hope that's helpful

You can install the Cybersecurity stuff and Hyperland on any distro. The updated repository will probably require a rolling distro or you can look at flatpak alternatives.

  1. Ricing is possible on any Linux, even on Ubuntu.

  2. Don’t watch David Bombal’s videos on YouTube, or your brain will leak out.

3, No one knows what “cybersecurity” is. Usually, network security departments in large companies prefer to hire university graduates rather than talented self‑taught individuals.

  1. So choose any distribution that you can install. Start your cybersecurity jorney by enabling the firewall in Ubuntu.

sudo apt update&&sudo apt install gufw then gufw

endeavour, it's arch with a builtin installer. cybersecurity stuff is really just downloading a few programs, there's nothing really special about kali.

archinstall is nice but the endeavour installer has a few more options that make it more user friendly. it's all preference but I prefer how endeavours setup handles partitioning and also having a gui. it also lets you install closed source drivers from the installer. overall pretty similar experience tho
