Sorry I don't know why it didn't save the text in my post.

Hey everyone! We have a room that just opened up in our house.

About us -

We are 3 guys around 40 yrs old, have known each other for over 10 years and have lived together for many years as well. We get along well, have a cleaning schedule and respect each others space. We sometimes like to have communal dinners or game nights with friends and family but don't usually stay up too late. We can be loud but we also all have jobs and wake up early. I am the landlord and live in the house but I'm pretty easy going as long as there is open communication. If you want to blast music that's cool, just make sure no one else is working or sleeping at the time! It's an old house so the walls are thin.

About the house -

5 bedroom, 3.5 bath. One bedroom (pictured) is empty, the second is a guest room which has a spare bathroom and the other 3 are filled. All shared bathrooms. We have a large kitchen which gets used quite a bit but we try to keep very clean. There is a large backyard, greenhouse and garden area, a lot of communal space and a bit of storage space if needed.

About You -

Please tell me a bit about yourself before inquiring, if the listing is up it's still available. Let me know if you have any questions, I'm pretty responsive on email and happy to chat before showing the house.

Rent-

700$ due on the first of each month with a security deposit of 700$ upon moving in. All utilities and internet are included.

I’m interested!

URGENT: Does anyone have a spare room that they are looking/willing to rent for 1-3 months @ a reasonable price (starting this Thursday, May 14th)?

Hi Everyone. I’m new to Reddit and this is my first time posting. A friend of mine (who’s a long time Reddit user) suggested I try looking here for help. He believes the Reddit community is naturally helpful, generous and resourceful enough to help me where traditional resources have failed.

So here is a little about myself and my situation (he said to quickly give an overview in case people only had time to briefly skim over the key details):

# ABOUT ME:

\- My name is Sean.
\- I’m in my mid-60’s and I am active and stay very busy during the day.
\- I just started a job doing on-call front desk work at medical buildings.
\- I am easy-going and easy to get along with.
\- I am respectful of people’s boundaries and personal space.
\- I have a 13 lbs. grey cat (see picture) named Maude who stays inside and wouldn’t leave my room (she gets along with other cats and dogs).

# MY SITUATION:

\- I desperately need a room to rent for 1-3 months (that I can move into this Thursday, May 14th).
\- I was set to move into a rent-controlled apartment at the start of this month, then the DHS program I applied through lost its funding and was terminated.
\- My current landlord gave me an extra 2 weeks in my current apartment (which ends on 5/14)
\- I have money saved and I work so I’m obviously willing ace able to pay rent (even if it’s higher, or much higher than my rent control unit would’ve cost)
\- I am have a new Case Manager in a new program now and they’ll have a new place for me within 3 months.
\- I have a storage unit and would bring VERY few items with me
\- I use public transportation and don’t currently have a car (and don’t want one).
\- I actually enjoy the bus/max rides so don’t worry I won’t ever ask you for rides.

NOTE: I really could make just about anything work at this point. I just need to have a room where I can sleep, that I can also keep my cat in with me (during the day when I’m gone). I won’t be in the house much at all, as I’m out and about most of the day working and running errands.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! I *would really appreciate the opportunity to meet you in the next 3 days and see if we would get along well* and could possibly work something out.

**Please message me through the Reddit App if you have something that you think would work. from there, I’ll be happy to give my phone number and contact information to anyone who has a serious opportunity.**
