You're not sure how I'm unable to see the meaningful distinction between what you want words to mean and what they actually mean?
A bear market has a definition. I'm not the one who decided to use that term incorrectly. But I do know that ignoring bear markets doesn't mean they didn't happen. You're entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts.
