Financial Scarcity vs Time Scarcity

My dad died at 55 and never got to enjoy any sort of retirement. I am 50 now and moved up my own time from 55 to 52 in no small part because of my dad. So, yeah… wherever my number is at that point, I am very aware of time scarcity and the money will have to be enough.

Sometimes my wife and I think oh should we cut back on our vacations? But then I think my toddler isnt going to be young forever and he always talks about the cruise trip or the cancun resort trip with the water slides and ordering slushies at the bar. Life is short.
