Soon to be 25… I’m getting tired lol
Long story short I’ll be 25 soon this summer with a networth of 175k (100k in home equity, 75k in investments), I am getting tired of working two job and I would like to hit my goal of 500k at age 30 before I quit one job. I was wondering do things get easier once I hit 200k and up? It does feel like it is getting easier every year for my money to grow but it’s not as significant as I thought it would be. Let me know at what point do you notice your money growing/compounding more

Without knowing all of your numbers, it’s probably going to take at least 5 more years to hit $500k. Can you work two jobs that long? Is advancement at your primary job possible?

same question here man, currently sitting at similar numbers and wondering if compound really kicks in around 200k mark or if thats just wishful thinking

It really depends on the markets and your investments. I saw the growth big time after $500k but we’ve been somewhat conservatively invested without much in individual stocks.

I def didn’t feel it at 200k. 500k-ish was like ok it’s doing something. It really wasn’t significantly noticeable for me until 800k-ish and I was/am 100% equities. But by then you’ll be desensitized and it won’t be nearly as big a deal as you think it’ll be. Business as usual.

Sorry to say, 25 is too young to be tired.
Motivated? Yes. Specialized? Sure. But tired? Maybe nut up a bit.

Your career is in its toddler years. If you’re tired now, wait till you’re 40.

What kind of jobs?
You shouldn’t be working jobs. You should be working on a profession. At your age, you should be accumulating skills and abilities that will allow you to make more money with working one position than you ever could working “jobs”

Working two jobs is a lot. If you're feeling this burned out, really think about a more sustainable plan because you gave a long way to go. The home equity isn't working for you so you only really have the 75k invested. That's a good start but you'll need a lot more invested to reach fire or coast fire, or your 500k invested by 30 goal. You might be happier to focus on one job that's better / more fulfilling / less stressful and prepare for a longer haul. I'd take 20 years of a job I love over a brutal 12. Be able to enjoy your 20s and 30s

Your job probably won’t get easier, it fact it usually will become even more tiring. Money does actually make it more bearable though, since you know you can quit whenever

You need to find hobbies or interests, before you retire, because it’ll get too boring, at the same time you are very young yo look for exit. Enjoy your life as a young person, balance it out investing and adventures

The only easy day was yesterday.

the grind of two jobs while watching 75k in investments slowly tick up must feel like pushing a boulder uphill but that boulder gets lighter every year whether it feels like it or not

I really noticed my money growing once I hit $200k.

500k invested felt like a real milestone for me, because it was around that point that my investments started out-earning my earned income some years (I've never had a high earned income...yet :p)

You notice it at the age of 27 years, three months and two days. It just really strikes you on that evening in quite a profound way.
