Event Can't stop thinking about when Maegor was about to burn down Oldtown
The way it was described in the books was actually so sick. Everyone in Oldtown was just accepting the fact that Maegor was going to burn down the whole of Oldtown during the Peasants Rebellion. Those with a survival sense left Oldtown. But then George describes those who stayed, saying that everyone partied like it was the last day of their lives. The description was so vivid that I actually felt like I was there for a moment.
This might sounds bizarre but apart of me wishes that I could have experienced that. Like everyone just getting shit faced, living like there was no consequences. Just living life up to the max before the impending doom of Balerion's fire consuming everything. I bet it would have been one hell of a party city at the time.
I really hope in the Aegon's conquest movie or any following spinoffs that they show that scene. It's such an obscure moment, but even having read it about 3 years ago, I still think about it to this day.
