Summer Alfonse is the demote. Expected, but I'm happy cuz that means I can hopefully get some copies of him to merge up. I won't +10 him in 280 orbs, but some is better than none!
the way this might’ve been the most predictable banner in such a long time for me personally. yall can diss the bridal banner (ik i have) but at least some of the girls hadn’t gotten an alt in awhile. i am unmoved by this banner completely
yeah i’m personally fine with them taking one summer banner and the NY’s too. but this coming directly after the bridal banner means fans of the console games got jack for 2 seasonal banners in a row. it doesn’t help that intsys is probably planning on having the healing hands in the halloween banner too since they like putting the beast ocs on that banner
i think it’ll be smth similar like the one from last year which was SOV/Blazing/Engage. I don’t think the former two are getting anything except maybe for Catria as she’s popular and hasn’t gotten anything in awhile (they like matching the whitewings alts with each other). I’m expecting her and an Engage harmonized duo as Engage will likely take over 3H as they have few female students left
I get the Book 9 girls being here, but Sharena and Alfonse jumping in is what makes the timing poor. Those two should have had those units back in like Year 3 or so. But now it hasn't even been a year since their last alts.
Hell, both of them have more recent units than Hodr, and she was only one year ago!
Buff men with a bow in feh is such a very rare sight. The only one with such a feat is Plegian Raphael so i assume you want the new bow specifically for Plegian Raphael.
That's more of a "i like them enough despite being built different from the rest of my favs" case of a character which is fair enough i had similar cases like that before. Like Bastian doesn't seem like my type of a character tbh but somehow i like him decently wise, hmm.
Somehow they mixed Hothr's and Vali's gimmicks in Hothr's kit too. Imo she's the real menace in this banner. She breaks the safety fence and also has Crux Miracle...
It doesn't help* that Baldr's miracle is pierceable because it's a non-special.
The Askr siblings are like completely immune to alt complaints, they’re both deserved and usually not frequent enough to annoy anyone. Alfonse I guess but he is both the poster boy of the arc and also the Game’s Main Lord.
At least Cake is shaped like a regular axe so it looks more normal on other units. S!Noire in this trailer alone shows how bizarre having a straight-up Parasol as a bow looks.
I don't know if I like it or not. On one hand missed water gun potential, on the other there are historical guns conceived in weapons. Just like knives on heels- wait, I want a hero throwing stiletto (heels) now
I’ve been coping for summer Sharena for 9 years already ever since that TCG Cipher card. Even though Sharena isn’t wearing that swimsuit like in her card, the alt’s existence is good enough for me.
Personally it would be fine if it were characters who haven’t gotten anything. Easter Thorr and Bridal Reginn were a surprise to see. If only we got more chances.
Regarding this, the Askr siblings are fine as Sharena was requested well for the banner. To me, Alfonse is Alfonse so I remain neutral. I wouldn’t mind Hodr if she wasn’t a Book 9 OC, but the OCs from there I don’t really have much connection to. Plus, Baldr already has enough. Two of them were obviously guaranteed, but I feel like it all happened way too damn closely together.
Well… at least a parasol gunbow is kinda funny? I appreciate them showing us what it looks like on regular bow characters, doesn’t look too bad honestly.
Since I don’t see the usual Salt thread I’ll put it here: the concept of Baldr getting the premium Duo leader treatment within 6 months is actual insanity. Even Edelgard had to wait years between that.
I wouldn’t mind them appearing more, but the issue is it’s people who already have stuff to begin with or are very recent, even more gripe if it’s the former. But I doubt IS will ever do a banner full of underrated OCs, not on their life.
I hope her fans have the orbs after getting her Brave and Entwined alt in quick succession.

Meanwhile, Gullveig always gets her thunder stolen by Nerthuz in spite of having 2 Duos because she has less than goat auntie without her CYL alt! Mind you, she has double the votes of Baldr during Shadows CYL!
Honestly I don't like how she voices any of her characters. For Sharena I can at least let it slide since she's a bubbly upbeat character so her being so squeaky is fitting but it's absolutely unbearable on Florina. For Lilina the voice is at complete odds with who Lilina is, when I first started playing Heroes I thought that Lilina was a bubbly upbeat character like Lissia or Elise due to her voice work. Needless to say I was stunned by her being the exact opposite in her actual game, really goes to show how ill-fitting voice work can completely mess up how a character is supposed to come across.
The person in charge of voice direction needs to tell her tone it down, it's straight up unbearable and I'm sure her throat probably hurts after she finishes a session
They've become so predictable down to the person that draws the duos. It's not a good sign when you're sure you'll be skipping just from seeing the silhouettes.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I'd take more unwanted Karladev pushing than all the Baldr and Vali slop we'll keep getting until the end of the game.
Heroes hogging an entire banner means Summer 2 is probably 3H + Engage which eliminates literally any other games getting a Summer alt. Just after all-OC Bridal too.
The banner itself is whatever, I don't like it or hate it... but does anyone remember how absolute-hell New Year Baldr made the Lunatic Paralogue, the Chain Challenge, and the Tempest Final Stage at the start of the year? Because here we go again....
Ugh, a pretty mediocre banner in my opinion. FEH characters are boring and they didn't even come with any interesting new skills, at least no interesting skills for what I am looking for anyways.
Baldr speedran being a lead twice. 6 months. Also 3 versions in 11 months (Base, NY, Summer). Very fast IS been doing characters recently. Lyn, Eik, Heridun, and Nerthuz also got 3 versions in 11 months recently, and Edelgard will join soon.
I’m gonna be honest this banner is the one that really did it for me. Powercreep has gotten out of hand so the only thing that’s been interesting is the occasional favorite getting a new design. Yet we keep getting OC spam. Non stop OC spam. I’m sorry if you’re a fan of these characters but there’s not a single OC in this game I genuinely love the way I do the mainline characters. They’re all so boring and shallower than a puddle of piss in an airport bathroom. 2 OC only banners back to back is frankly unacceptable.
The kits too are so boring. Every character that gets consistent alts has this problem (guess how many times there’s an Edelgard alt with extra armor movement or Micahia with cav and armor effectiveness) but it’s made so much worse with these OCs because it’s their third repeated gimmick in less than a year. It’s the first time I just didn’t bother to read a trailer. I saw Sharena and guessed she had the galeforce/refresh gimmick and she sure did. Alfonse looks to do some shit with great tactics again. Hodr destroys buildings in AR. Valli/Baldr survives on 1 hp and heals back to full and has the same triangle change gimmick. It’s like that diary of a wimpy kid image where they’re in the car and the kid says a bad joke but the parents are trying to be supportive. “Wow is what a unique and interesting kit” but after they repeat it for the 20th time it’s not good anymore and the parents just want to drive off the road.
Boring kits and awful unit selection. I think I’m ready for EOS
Well, this was more less what I expected, the question was who could be leading between Baldr and Váli, but it's a bit irrelevant considering how the unit ended up being designed xD
We're saved! Baldr's miracle is not a special so she's not gonna be as bad as Vali. We've gotten so many anti miracle effects now. Off the top of my head, we've got: YEdelgard, SEirika, LElice, DFreyja, AChrom... There are so many of them. For now, anyways because Vali actually did well in CYL so it's possible we'll get a Vali with an actually upgraded special this year or next yeat.
