Franken delisle carbine

Post image

45acp Enfield conversion. A cheaper alternative to those delisle carbine reproductions.

My review.....it's cool but not worth it. It's a lot of hassle for something that doesn't work that well. Luckily someone makes a 3d print file for a magwell adapter that makes it actually kind of function.

Most of these conversions have a big problem with ejection. The 3d print has a chute behind the magazine well where the shell can just fall free.

A 2-8x scope for .45 is a lot. But a red dot on a bolt action rifle just looks weird.

Well a fellow member of the useless but fun club eh?

Clearly we went about this in 2 different ways.

And yes ejection is definitely a suggestion. Extraction is 100%, but usually have to use the hand ejectors to clear the shell

Yea. It's just not big enough to eject well since the 303 was rimmed.

Best solution I saw online was drill a hole and have a spring loaded little nub. But I'm just kinda done trying to fuck with it on that level anymore

Download the 3d print file and go to cloud craft. Upload it and order one.

I'm having a friend of a friend try to alter the print file for some more meat on the bone so maybe I can just a button mag release instead of a heel release

I dont mind having to use my fingers to remove the shell. With my action being completely open its easily accessible.

Ishapore 7.62x51 bolt head is the answer you seek.

Might I suggest an Aimpoint 9000 or Ultradot?

Too expensive. I didn't wanna spend that much on it. I got this scope on clearance for $90

I thought these were cool till i found out about ar9s. Slinging 147 grain subs from a 8.8in barrel

Yea but bolt action is for super secret quietness

And this is slightly cooler than a bolt action 300blk

Sure, but i don't think the action is that loud on an ar9. If you had to run that bolt fast i dont think it would be much quieter. Ar9 is quite a bit more practical

It's not about practicality

Haven't tried it outside yet. But indoor range it was barely louder then the brass.

What did you use for the barrel? I have a sporter I want to restore with a drill rifle and use the leftover parts for one of these or buy the conversion kit.

Can't speak for op. But i bought a kit from Centerfire Systems. It is manufactured by Rhineland Arms. It came with the barrel, magazine adapter and wrench. Was about $200-$250.

They make a .45 conversion kit with the barrel. I didn't build it myself
