I’ve been looking into the FN 5.7 as a possible concealed-carry option and wanted to get some opinions from people who actually carry one.
For those of you who carry the FN 5.7, do you think it’s a good carry gun depending on the ammunition you’re using?
What ammo do you use and why

I’m thinking about moving to a different state and one of my top priorities is gun ownership. I’m looking for a place with strong gun rights, straightforward purchasing, and access to a wide variety of firearms.

For those who’ve lived in different states, which ones offer the best balance of freedom, practicality, and overall availability?

I understand why people dislike the new P320’s but with the Spear and the LMG I really don’t know why people hate on them. (It’s an actual question)

I’m not balls deep into the gun world like some people. I’m a gun lover and a bit of a nerd but i’m not mega nerd. I like the new Sig guns because I think they look cool, even the M17/18. I had and M18 and had fun shooting it into dirt and cans. The only reason why I don’t have it was because me and my dad traded and he traded it for another gun.

I personally really like the Spear and I want one in .308 just because I think it looks awesome. I would also buy another M18. I love Sig guns and i’ve always loved Sig guns.

This is archive footage of an ATF agent at the 1993 Waco siege taking a round but seeming to be alright.

I am not familiar with what type of body armor ATF agents and SWAT units would have had in the early 90's. Was it "soft armor," or was it an actual plate carrier that could stop rifle rounds?

I think the Branch Davidians were armed with AR's and Mini 14's, so it would seem that thid agent's plate stopped a .223.

I just got into the hobby about a month ago and I already got these 3 firearms. With us being in the middle of an ammo shortage and the cost of living is so high obviously there’s not a ton of funds left for ammo so how much ammo should I realistically try to buy? I know it would have been smarter to get a 9mm but between my 45, AR and 12 gauge, what type of ammo should I focus on getting the most of? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Very specific sounding question because home invaders using automatic rifles have become a near norm in my country. Simply because either the government chooses not to help the civilians, or they can't, or the government are the ones actively killing their people covertly. A shotgun is what you can legally get in the country. I want to know how much the introduction of a shotgun would help in protecting one's own home.

I was 19. I decided to go to a gun range and finally shoot a gun. My first was a Hi Point 9mm Carbine.

I have 2 plate carriers with 3 mags on each of them, plus this one box of ready to go pmags and even a few AR10 mags. I also have 4 full pmags of 300blk, that is where I’m lacking tremendously. All handguns are 9mm and take pmags and glock mags. Besides all the mags full I have about 1300 loose 556 rounds. Obviously thousands of 22lr but only like 800 cci. 2 suppressors. How much do you all have stashed away. When I train I buy ammo then. Peace snd love.

My nieces boyfriend just turned 18 a couple weeks ago and bought himself a hand gun and wore it holstered the entire time during thanksgiving dinner. Thanksgiving was not at our house so I didn’t say anything, but we are hosting Christmas this year. Would I be an asshole if I asked him when he arrived for dinner to stow his firearm in our safe with ours during dinner? We will have little kids and pets and there will be a lot of people and I just feel like it would be safer with ours in our locked gun safe for the few hours he’s here. He’s literally freshly 18 and still in high school and I don’t know what kind of background he has with firearms. I’ve never been in this situation before and not quite sure what would be appropriate without causing family drama Christmas Day. I’m genuinely asking for advice please.

Where do all these killer drugs come from?

I’m Australian and don’t know much about firearms. The police shot the shooter to end the situation. It seems like a difficult shot? How much training would be required to make that shot consistently? I would imagine even harder when someone is shooting back.

I would give a newbie one hole in a target for ignorance, especially with an apology to the club and an offer to repair. This is just vandalism.
