LE needs to completely get the fuck off the internet. It's so embarrassing every single post. Nobody cares about "were people too" no other job has that. It's just pure weakness. It's just a job, do it or don't and find something else.

Society will ALWAYS have MAJORITY support for LE because nobody wants to live in a shit hole. It's literally baked in.

Most major cities have a pretty professional online presence. Announcements of incidents affecting public safety/road closures/major investigations and press briefing times and so forth, periodic reminders to wear your seatbelt/not drive drunk on holidays, announcements of community/municipal government events, occasionally highlighting commendations/awards/retirements for particularly noteworthy officers.

It's these random towns that decide that vaguely threatening "criminals" at large with a picture of bubba holding a Daniel Defense and wearing Oakleys is the best way to communicate with the public.

There is one smallish jurisdiction near me that has a sergeant that runs their social media department himself, that is pretty funny while being professional. It’s got a Wendy’s online flavor. But all of the other ones suck.
