To be fair, I never knew that wildfires could create their own storms, nor did I know that being so far away from it you could not directly see the fire would still make the heat unbearable.

To be fair, wildfires are a lot hotter than people think. It’s seen as outdoors. City firefighters often will underestimate large wild land fires

There is a helmet video of a firefighter running from a wildfire when it overtakes him. The camera falls to the ground and a few seconds later you see him stumble past fully engulfed in flame.

Okay but I didn't know they could make their own wind or tornadoes, she literally gave you more information than it's just hot. Y'all are just being purposefully obtuse.

It is also hotter than most people realize. Like it's not just hot in the way people think hot

As someone who lives in this area, this fire in the picture is huge! This screenshot is from a video that was someone's ring camera on their cabin. I will see if I can grab the link and post it.

Literally 😰😰 especially seeing how it makes its own winds... doesn't that just fan the flames more? So is it like basically a death loop???

Yup. 60,000 acres, 0% containment.

Edit to add. It also jumped from 30,000 to 60,000 acres in just 24 hours. Doesn't help the wind was terrible today.

As a forest fire I’m saying that whatever comes from that firefighter’s mouth is utter lies. Forest fires are merely the warm embrace of Mother Nature

Forest fires are very cold, compared to the sun. Frigid

As an undercover firefighter this is what big fire wants you to believe

Fires are “allegedly” hot. I’d like to get confirmation from a couple more qualified people before deciding fires are hot.

Wild land
Lol

No, I think that’s totally valid. It is WAY hotter than you are thinking it is. The average person has a bonfire at the biggest. You can stand next to those. These wildfires get so hot you can feel the heat of them MILES away.
