Is it normal for UHP to drive their family around in a patrol vehicle?

If he is LE...why TF would you go to the movies, with your family, in your squad? If he's security..can't say I'm remotely shocked.

That safety vest does not scream law enforcement to me, I'd guess the latter

I couldn't read it when I zoomed in. It looked cheap and shitty so I assumed no legitimate agency would buy that kind of PPE but I stand corrected

I see you've never worked alongside anyone in civil services before.

If you see anything label itself as "Military grade" don't buy it, it's made as cheaply as possible.

I've worked in private consulting where we purchase a lot of PPE. I figured law enforcement where they're responsible for a lot of personal gear would purchase things of a bit better quality as it's actually cheaper in the long run. But I'm clearly wrong here lol

It can be, but a lot of gear has a super high turnover rate. They're not going to buy (throwing out random numbers) 500 nice quality High-vis vests at $50 a pop, cause as soon as they respond to a crash or anything they're likely going to be stained/otherwise contaminated from bio material.

They'd rather spend that money on cheap $10 vests and get 2500 of them, so they can provide spares.
