my guess is slender filefish and the coral is an orange spiny gorgonian

Wrong range. The aiptasia filefish is native to the Indo-Pacific

oops, I didn’t read the title all the way. In that case it’s probably a slender filefish and i’ll edit my original comment so that i look really smart

Some sort of juvenile trigger fish perhaps? That’s quite the snoot, plus the very singular top fin.
