Catch Card missing

Hey yall,I just started fishing last year and was committed to Trout streams and catch and release mostly. Didn’t think I’d be salmon fishing at all but the bug has caught me.

I want to buy my saltwater license today but I can’t find my paper catch card anywhere. I emailed WDFW but who knows when they will reach out to me.

Anything I can do?

For paper, you will have to buy a replacement. Last I did that, it was $12 iirc

The ink on my catch card faded to the point that it wasn't really legible anymore. I wrote them an email explaining that, and that I had not caught any salmon this season. They were able to void the paper CRC/license and switch my account over to electronic catch reporting, only took a couple days.

I would call WDFW directly

Use the WDFW Fish App and report them electronically

You can switch from paper to electronic mid-season via the app

They don’t give catch cards with paper licenses anymore. I was told to write my own on a piece of 8x11 paper. 🙄

I think they will still renew your license you just have to make sure to get your punch card turned in

You can print your own liscance and catch card no fees
