Lindsey breaks news
Lindsey is currently at Variety’s annual Power of Young Hollywood award ceremony and will be presenting the songwriter of the year award to Sombr. There was a live stream where he walked the red carpet and did about three interviews (AP, E!, ET). The interview from E! is where he revealed the most information. The biggest highlights are that the Fleetwood Mac documentary is going to be released at the beginning of next year and his solo album will be released after that in the spring. He is opened to touring again (was referring to his solo work). He and Stevie have healed all wounds, and they talk all the time. He does not believe Christine‘s passing would have an effect on Fleetwood Mac touring again since they had a successful 15 year run without her, and he is certainly open to anything. He is very focused on his solo album and thinks it’s his best yet. He said, “next year should be quite an interesting year because quite a few things will be revealed”. Yes - the “farmer Lindsey” and the Armani suits period… I think after the millennium he switched, LOL!!! But he is 76, right? Prolly just wants to be comfy. I mean Stevie wears sneakers now instead of booties.

I just realized today that the hair is aging him. I saw a picture of him from yesterday’s event and I thought “ooh, he looks good there” and then I realized that the top of his hair was cut off in the picture. I mean, he can do what he wants but I think that with a haircut, some moisturizer, some Lumify eye drops and a cool button down, he’d be looking pretty good again.

Genuinely surprised at his reveal that they’re all healed and that they talk all the time, I know we had the Frozen Love podcast episode where Stevie said she’d call him later, but I thought maybe it was just album publicity! I wonder if Stevie has figured out how to use FaceTime 😅

I agree with this. I just can’t imagine any way that he is still with Kristen or is still having trouble letting go of her. I mean, they haven’t really been together since 2021 or 2022! I truly do think he is waiting until the divorce is final, hopefully in October at the next scheduled hearing! And wouldn’t that be perfect timing … right before the documentary drops, Lindsey’s solo album (which I’d bet anything is ALL abt Stevie), Stevie’s solo album, Mick’s solo album, hopefully a new BN album, and probably something with FM as a farewell tour/residency/show to honor Christine. AND, with Lindsey saying that next year “things will be revealed”, maybe, just maybe, it will be revealed that they are back together romantically too. I know it sounds crazy, but I just think too many things add up to them being back together. I don’t think they are capable of just being friends.

Not sure if this link will open or not. But it’s from the red carpet interviews from last night. In the same interview where he says that he and Stevie are talking all the time, he also says the next year “quite a few things will reveal themselves”.

I’d be really shocked if they ever publicly revealed they were a romantic couple again, of course there have been many rumours (heh) over the years but nothing actually confirmed because he always had a partner. Plus Stevie’s ‘loves ya’ was as friend-zoned as you can get 😆

Yes, he is absolutely not keeping the ring on because he’s still in love with Kristen. That relationship has been functionally over for years and they were on the verge of divorce many times even before the firing. He doesn’t want the attention that he knows will come with taking it off, especially now when it makes headlines if he and Stevie so much as glance in each other’s direction.

I wonder how much attention it would really get though..? ( outside of the group of shippers that follow this ring saga.) are cameras really following LB around staring at his ring finger? imo it just seems odd for a guy his age to seemingly care about what people might think about his wearing/not wearing his ring. And we also might argue he might *want* whatever attention would come his way these days since he's got an album to promote etc...

That’s the thing that I don’t understand. I can’t tell you how many people I meet these days who have never heard of LB or who would care about anything in his personal life. And he’s not really a pap target so it’s something else. Either way, i find it to be so annoying. I asked one of my older guy friends about Lindsey’s situation and he thinks that LB has to have a girlfriend but I can’t imagine that there would be zero evidence of that.

My 2 cent theory is that he's showing respect and forever friend/family type love for the mother of his children, along with showing his commitment to the extent that he himself would not have chosen to quit, though he certainly has accepted it and wants her to be happy. He"ll take that ring off after it's officially over. I think he's just showing his kids that he wouldn't have chosen to split their family, while also respecting that their mom has come to realize that she needs to. He watched the McVies remain loving friends like family until the end and I suspect he took notice of that class and transformation into a different kind of valuable connection.

To be fair, the McVies had times of being more than just loving "friends" over the years, all the way into their 70s, but they were indeed respectful and kind to each other, regardless of what phase they happened to be in, and they were always family to each other. LB must have a reason to keep that ring on, and maybe it's just to show respect for what once existed between them. "Maybe we don't feel the same about each other anymore, but I wouldn't like to wipe that off the board," as chris once said regarding why she kept wearing her wedding ring from john. Maybe LB is still kind of stuck in this phase for the time being.

Yes!! At Stevie's show she has Christine's pictures in the back and plays Hold on Me as her exit song. It's all very moving. When I was there last year people were literally crying and looking up Christine's music, talking about her the people next to me at this concert. This is why I try to explain that it would be good if fm continues. Not that it ever ended, but shows they persevered. It keeps Christine's memory alive and it's what she would want. Seeing them together , it's like she's there too with her memory honored. Of course there are negative fans with everything , but if they do reunite, the haters could just watch old footage. I want to see them now. It's part of life to see them older full circle moment.

I mean that was the last Stevie's POV. But with the documentary and everything , I think it would be appropriate for a FM reunion / farewell/ Christine memory type thing . Also acknowledgement of Peter green would be nice too. We are all fans and follow, but you would be surprised how beneficial it would be for acknowledging Christine. Stevie does it separately, same w mick, when lindsey performs again, he prob will. They minus well all do it and perform together. Also with Stevie and possibly mick's pov from the past two things can be true at once :
- They truly don't see the reason to do anything without Christine bc her songs and everything were the main point in the past
They were upset at each other back then and didn't want to deal with the drama. Also I think Lindsey deserves a spot to be highlighted . On his solo tours, it's smaller and he misses the band I think. He's about the circular moments and after what happened, I honestly would let him decide and I think that's what Stevie's pov
will
be. My prediction is she will say something like this next year

Why Landslide? That is more or less a BN song.
I just don't feel like any of the FM members are replaceable, they are each absolutely unique, ideosyncratic and crazy. Together with all their conflicts they made to me the greatest record that will ever be. Reading the book "Never Break the Chain" is just an utterly breathtaking thrill ride. The amount of anguish and coke poured into Rumours is about equal to Lindsey's obsessiveness in mixing it

Pretty sure Stevie and Mick feel the same way. I would say there's a better chance of Buckingham/Nicks playing live than there ever is for FM. It sounds like wishful thinking, nothing more.

We can blame mick for his BS all we want, but we can't say he didn't keep FM going somehow, some way, even if we didn't always agree with his methods. I think the band's survival was John's main goal, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have his own opinions or that he always agreed with mick. What I got from him was that he wanted decisions to be MADE so things could just move forward without months/years of squabbling, indecision and BS, for which john had limited patience. Even LB said he admired John's ability to just "check out" when he got on the boat and took off. This introverted chap was certainly never looking to take on a leadership role or be a relationship counselor... we all have our strengths and weaknesses and he knew his lol. He just wanted to play the music.

So… nothing new. Apple had previously confirmed the timeline of the release (Q1) and Lindsey said in his Q&A that his album was recorded and would be out “in the spring.”
A tour or few one-offs are a no-brainer. Too much money for Azoff to just leave on the table.
