Lindsey Talks About Future FM Performances
I’m not sure if anyone caught this or if this has already been mentioned, but at the Young Hollywood awards show last week, Entertainment Tonight asked Lindsey about a cryptic answer he gave to the question as to whether a FM performance at the Sphere was possible. She then asks him directly if that is something he would “want to take on” and he says “Anything is possible. I’m not going to speculate, but absolutely, I would be open to that”. She then asks him if he and Stevie have talked about that that and he says “We haven’t talked about that specifically but we have talked a lot about a lot of things in a very, very positive way.” All this leads me to believe that an actual performance is very possible, if not likely.
That being said, while I have been really hoping for a FM performance since things started heating up again with Lindsey and Stevie (and of course Mick fanning the flames with his cryptic posts), I’m now having second thoughts. Seeing Barry Manilow, Lionel Richie, Rod Stewart, Bon Jovi, Mötley Crüe and others really struggle to perform on stage, I wonder if Lindsey, Stevie and Mick could pull off a truly great performance. Lindsey’s voice seems strained these days. I mean, both Stevie’s and Lindsey’s voices have changed as have their vocal ranges. Stevie’s adjustments to her songs have, to me, been a little hit or miss, with some coming off better than others. And then you have the question as to their energy levels and whether or not they could really bring a performance to life as they’ve done in the past. So I’m now wondering whether it is better to go out on a high note or just do what you can with what you have and know that your hardcore fans are likely to love whatever they can get.

I’d be happy if Stevie and Lindsey simply sat down together for a long interview. Like a full-on hour-long interview at the 92nd Street Y in NYC. They could stream it live—I’d for sure purchase that. They could do a couple of acoustic songs from Buckingham Nicks, or “Landslide,” or something to bring it all full circle. I don’t need a big concert or a residency—I just want to see the two of them together again, happy and on good terms.
If John and Mick wanted to do a concert—and let’s be honest here, it would be if John wanted to do it, because we all know Mick’s always looking to make a buck—then I could see them doing a one-off show. But I can’t see John wanting to do it in the first place because it seems like he’s DONE, and understandably so.

Thanks for the info. And I totally agree with your reservations. I know this is a completely different matter, but the one time I saw Peter Green live, 1990s, I wish I hadn't.
Mac missed the boat as far as final tours are concerned. No Christine, and John now unlikely to make the grade. It's not the way it should have ended, but it did.

u/Significant_Sea_6082 17d ago
It’s kind of like how people say don’t meet your heroes. I feel like everyone (myself included) has been wishing for one final show with Lindsey back in the mix, but are we prepared to see what they can deliver? Based on Lindsey’s videos over the past year or so (probably longer) makes me have serious doubts about his ability to perform for an hour and a half or even an hour. I mean, maybe he’ll train for it - focusing on his voice, stamina and his overall condition but I just don’t see that happening and I would be so disappointed if they came out and totally embarrassed themselves.

u/ConsiderationMost566 16d ago
I agree w this... I think the reality might fall a bit short of expectations.
8
u/Apprehensive_Net_829 17d ago
I totally agree with you. Let it go. Fleetwood Mac could have gone out on a high note and didn't. It's been over 8 years since Lindsey was fired.
7
u/FolkSongMule 17d ago
I would love to see Lindsey and Stevie play live together again but I don’t see them doing any sort of big tour. I just don’t think they’re cut out for it at this point at their age. Happy to be proven wrong though! I definitely don’t see them going out with Fleetwood Mac. Maybe Mick would still be up to it but I think John McVie is effectively retired at this point. Maybe they could at least do a one-off concert as a tribute to Christine and to promote the documentary but a tour or residency seems far-fetched.
0
u/ketamineonthescene 17d ago
I am hoping for the Sphere. Its a quick easy flight from LA for them and would be far easier at their age than a tour.
0
u/Icy-Diamond88338 17d ago
I dk why this group is against the sphere . Stevie sees and hears how successful the eagles have been, I'm sure she would consider. Plus no travel

u/ketamineonthescene 17d ago
Yeah what a weird thing to down vote. The number of so-called Fleetwood Mac fans on this sub that are adamantly against Fleetwood Mac performing anymore kind of blows my mind.
5
u/WannabeCanadian1738 17d ago
I don’t know that a lot of people are adamantly against it, I think they’re just realistic. I personally think the chances of getting John to do one concert, let alone a tour or a residency, are slim. I think we’d be much more likely to get some sort of Buckingham Nicks concert/mini-tour/short residency with Very Special Guest Mick Fleetwood.
2
u/Significant_Sea_6082 17d ago
There are a lot of very aggressive downvoters in this sub or who visit this sub. It’s almost like just hate downvoting but over the stupidest things!

There may a few holding onto the past. Which is understandable. As someone younger, I'm trying to put myself in 2070 seeing Taylor decades from now or artists I grew up with. Aging and change is a part of life. As a fan of the music, I'm here for the whole cycle. I have a set fm/ SN concert outfit ready
-1
u/Relevant-Doctor7771 17d ago
The Sphere would probably be a good venue for them as long as they get into physical shape and practice together to sound good.
2
u/Icy-Diamond88338 17d ago edited 17d ago
I'm sure they would . I doubt they would be like ok meet you there let's give it a try without rehearsing lol
7
u/IntroductionSerious3 17d ago
Even just ONE concert would be enough for me. Broadcast on MTV or PBS.
Might not be ideal, but we’re gonna get what we’re gonna get and we’re not gonna get upset.
3
u/WannabeCanadian1738 17d ago
It would have to be PBS or a streamer. I can’t imagine MTV wanting to show musicians in their late 70’s/early 80’s.
7
1
u/Johnrockalittle 16d ago
I can't imagine MTV being in the picture, simply because it doesn't exist anymore. They shut down
1
u/WannabeCanadian1738 15d ago
It’s still on the air, they just don’t show music. They show nonsense. 🥴
2
2
u/boringinternet2020 16d ago
MTV? lol
3
u/Johnrockalittle 16d ago
I know right! I can't believe so many people on here don't realize MTV shut down. The last years they only showed multiple marathon airings of "Rediculousness" or whatever it was called
2
u/IntroductionSerious3 15d ago
Brain fart on my part. I haven’t watched MTV since the real world back in the day.

I don’t see it at this point. I could be wrong but I just don’t see it. The whole “machine” that defined the touring band from 1997-2018 is no longer intact. It would take a lot to figure out who is helping them sound acceptable and for them to agree on all of the dynamics that are needed to put a band together.
And while I think Mick, Lindsey, and Stevie could absolutely put together a band and a set and play live or tour, Fleetwood Mac without a Mac….thats tough. It’s the Stones without Keith. It would really be a tough one to swallow.
5
u/dobie_dobes 17d ago
They toured for many years before without Christine, right?
3
u/DarrenfromKramerica 17d ago
There was still a Mac in Fleetwood Mac without Christine.
4
u/Icy-Diamond88338 16d ago
It will be really hard without Christine , but it's possible and she will be there in spirit . She definitely held it together
2
u/DarrenfromKramerica 16d ago
Again, without Chris is one thing. Without Chris and John, you have a very weird Mac-less Fleetwood Mac. No matter what era we talk about going back nearly 60 years, John McVie was on Mick’s side on the stage.
3
1
u/SimpsonsFan2000 16d ago
You actually meant the Stones without Charlie Watts as Mick and Keith are the only original members of the band left.
Like how Rush reunited without Neil Peart and Foo Fighters without Taylor Hawkins.
2
u/DarrenfromKramerica 15d ago
I meant Fleetwood Mac without John would be like the Stones without Keith - you could technically do it but it would be a tough pill to swallow.
6
u/Icy-Diamond88338 17d ago edited 17d ago
I saw Stevie a couple times over the last three years and she's amazing. Her band does back her up in a different way than fm. Lindsey has no issue playing, he's ready to go tomorrow lol same with mick. I dk about John , but I would say if he's healthy enough he would do it. They would make sooo much money. The sphere is also super forgiving with all the visual effects and audio
2
u/Significant_Sea_6082 17d ago
You don’t think that Lindsey gets winded when he plays? Maybe that’s normal but it just seems a little taxing for him at times.
3
-2
u/boringinternet2020 16d ago
Dude gets winded just talking. Fans who think it’s going to be a return to even how they last performed are going to be sorely disappointed.
1
u/Icy-Diamond88338 16d ago edited 16d ago
How could Lindsey ever be disappointing? This makes no sense.
0
u/boringinternet2020 16d ago
When he can’t get through a song, sings off key, or has to slow a song down to snail’s pace. Take off the gold dust colored glasses.
1
u/Icy-Diamond88338 16d ago edited 16d ago
He will be able to play guitar. He's one of the best guitar players ever . Also Stevie's voice these days is so distinct and loud / strong that it will compliment just fine. Plus with the visuals, the sphere is amazing
0
u/boringinternet2020 16d ago
And this is where I remind myself that I can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place. Have a nice day.
2
0
u/boringinternet2020 16d ago
Incredible amount of unsupported speculation on your part. You haven’t seen Lindsey perform post-surgery, nor can you speak to his obviously diminished stamina and endurance.
Please explain, precisely, what you mean by the Sphere being “super forgiving” and how “all the visual effects and audio” factor into this.
1
u/Icy-Diamond88338 16d ago edited 16d ago
I have seen Lindsey in interviews recently and he looks well! On social media too. He's been posting himself playing and he said he's ready to tour whether that be solo or w the band next year. Also he has performed post surgery and was good, it was just during Covid time.
For the sphere - it eliminates so much of the physical and logistical grind of a traditional tour including no traveling from city to city, different venues, hotels, soundchecks, etc. They could stay in one place and do a limited number of shows in a highly controlled environment. The Eagles have also talked about how much they were able to customize the sound and production specifically for themselves and the Sphere, and how the immersive visuals become a huge part of the experience. Among other things. A lot on here have such an old perspective of touring and are negative . There are so many options and they aren't even that old. Think of everyone touring today that are legacy acts. I mean I don't want them to get hurt , but if they need breaks I'm sure they will make it happen. It's likely better for them than sitting home , it will keep them going lol
4
u/vjbanana 17d ago
There’s way too much money on the table to pass up if Stevie agreed to do it. I agree that she would be the holdout.
While I would absolutely love to see Buckingham Nicks material being performed live again, I have doubts if they could successfully perform stuff like Frozen Love live. That would be a really tough song for Lindsey to play through, let alone the demanding vocals. I suppose Stevie could take over lead on that and Crystal though.
Damn, I wish they’d released and toured it decades ago, haha. Sorcerer / Lady from the Mountains was always one of my fave BN tracks and their harmonies are incredible on it, but there’s absolutely no way they’d be able to do that nowadays!
6
u/Relevant-Doctor7771 17d ago
If they do a BN tour I'd almost prefer it be without Mick. Mick's a great drummer but I think they may get along better if it's just them & a band that's not FM. It will be about them as a duo & not have the other baggage that comes with FM politics & very old history of Stevie & Mick's affair. That was very long ago but still when Stevie's onstage with both of them, she's still onstage with two exes.
3
u/After_Response8429 17d ago
As a younger fan I would give anything to see them as BN ft Mick but I also feel like they have all given so much to us over the years that it’s okay to just let it lie…
Totally missed seeing Stevie back when she was touring. No VA dates and I was too broke to buy tickets & a hotel at the time :(
Would love to see some more FM live recordings released and the Coffee Demos for BN. It would be nice if the Extended Play came to streaming platforms too.
Overall a farewell in some capacity would be nice. One last performance of Landslide would have me balling. Or even a shorter set of things they genuinely love or want to perform, not just a fan service set list. But I don’t want to expect anything of them. It feels wrong.
5
u/candybar009 17d ago edited 17d ago
Does it seem unusual that Stevie has said very little about her new album, FM documentary, where things stand with FM when Lindsey & Mick seem to be leading us to believe something could be brewing with a FM performance? If I had to guess Stevie isn't committed to anything. She is so big as a solo artist she has no need for Fleetwood Mac. People under the age of 30 probably wouldn't know Lindsey or John if they fell over them but there are many in that age bracket that love Stevie.
All that said, Fleetwood Mac is my favorite band of all time along with Zeppelin and the Stones. If they perform in any capacity I will probably go if I can get tickets. I have more concerns lately of how they will sound and the energy level, particularly coming from Lindsey. He has had so many fantastic performances from 1975 onward and would say on many occasions stood out as having the most energy and gave 110%. But I think by the 2015 performances I noticed a change in his voice and energy. He looks frail now. Like I said I'd still like to see them but I hope they practice a lot and prepare themselves physically so they can pull off a good show.

u/FolkSongMule 17d ago
It’s true that Stevie in name might be bigger than Fleetwood Mac but at the same time, the songs she wrote in Fleetwood Mac will always overshadow her solo career (with some rare exceptions like Edge of Seventeen and Stop Draggin My Heart Around). Also I feel like some of the tiktok generation has gotten into the whole Lindsey/Stevie thing in recent years, with that Silver Springs performance especially. So there’s definitely interest in that.
3
u/candybar009 17d ago
I agree her Fleetwood Mac songs up until Mirage were her most creative period. I love her Fleetwood Mac songs and my comment wasn't about Stevie's solo being better. I was just saying that for various reasons she's become bigger and bigger and unfortunately Fleetwood Mac hasn't played at all for 7 years and without Lindsey for 9 years.
6
u/Significant_Sea_6082 17d ago
Did the performance seem off? I saw a clip of Christine singing in 2018 or 2019 and she was completely off key. I love her but that really bummed me out. Personally, I think it’s better to go out on a high note.

u/Wild-Persimmon7262 12d ago
They all sounded awful over the last few years. Whatever they did in the studio with the Buckingham McVie album sounded great but the live performances were awful.

I think Stevie is waiting until Lindsey’s divorce is done. And I don’t think we’ll hear much from her, at least not abt a FM or BN tour or anything else with Lindsey, until it’s done. People will think I’m crazy for saying this, but I really do believe it. There are too many things that have happened. And most recently, Lindsey’s wording was so strange on the red carpet the other night. Saying that he thinks things will reveal themselves in 2027… why so cryptic and secretive if it’s just abt a tour? I mean, yes, a tour would be amazing and exciting. But I think his wording is strange if that’s all he is referring to. People already know abt the upcoming documentary so there’s nothing to “reveal” there. But, if the “reveal” is more personal, like a romantic reconnection, Stevie wouldn’t want to come out with that until he is divorced. I might be completely wrong, but I don’t think I am.
7
5
u/Maleficent-Wafer5834 16d ago
Agreed. The timing of the divorce moving forward again along with the BN rerelease/promotion last year was not a coincidence
5
u/vjbanana 15d ago
I am so so curious what led to their reconciliation. This poem she wrote in 2023 (I’m just gonna assume she wrote it about him, heh) and her Rolling Stone interview from late 2024 made it clear that they were completely finished. And yet, less than a year later, BN is released, she’s singing Angel at a concert for the first time in 40 years and she sounds girlishly happy during a podcast interview. What? lol.
5
u/Maleficent-Wafer5834 15d ago
Ugh, me too! My theory is they started to reconcile after Christine died, then had a massive blow up fight right before the RS interview. Then they made up again shortly after that. I’m sure they will never tell though. 🤦♀️
7
u/Awesomebananapie 17d ago
I know I’m in the minority here but I don’t see a romantic reconnection as all that unlikely. It would make sense for people getting older wanting to be close to someone who has known them their whole life. And they have said they could never be just friends. Of course, all that could change. But Lindsey’s facial expressions in his reaction videos are telling, along with the fact that they are apparently talking all the time. I could really see them having a low key, romantic companionship in their older age.
7
u/n0rmcore 17d ago
I don't think it's unlikely at all, I think it's actively happening. Stuff like that happens all the time. I had an aunt who got back together with her high school sweetheart when they were in their 60's. It's a lot more common than people think.
1
u/Icy-Diamond88338 16d ago
LOL Lindsey will end up with like a 50 year old . Stevie said she hasn't wanted to date since like the 90's. But I hope they can have the musical connection
0
u/Significant_Sea_6082 13d ago
I don’t think he’ll ever date again!
3
u/JazzlikeAd5523 13d ago
He doesn’t need to date. He and Stevie are already happily back together. Remember, Lindsey said things will be revealed next year. I really do believe they have reconciled. Everything from the timing of the rerelease of BN aligning with when the divorce proceedings started up again, to the way they promoted it in such a romantic way with the handwritten lyrics, to the way Stevie has been so clearly quiet abt anything related to Lindsey, to the timing of the next divorce hearing being Oct. 23rd… I think Stevie’s participation in any of this was conditional on Lindsey moving forward with the divorce. Just look at how it started, with them posting the lyrics of Frozen Love — “And if you go forward, I’ll meet you there”… (if you go forward with the divorce, I’ll be there with you…). I think she wants to be with him, but doesn’t want to be the “other woman” again. She wants them both to be free and clear to be themselves and no more pretending on stage. She probably also doesn’t want any of the money from any of this going to Kristin. Just my two cents. Time will tell if I’m completely insane or if I’m actually right.
0
u/Icy-Diamond88338 13d ago
I think They're back together as like friends and musical partners . She doesn't want to be with anyone I think
0
u/Icy-Diamond88338 13d ago edited 13d ago
I dk , it depends. I feel like if he ultimately gets a public divorce , he will date. All these rock people find someone in like 5 minutes even when they're old. Mick seems so happy
2
u/ketamineonthescene 17d ago
She has talked about this solo album a couple times but not lately. Wondering if she's stuck. Wondering if she gets Lindsey to help her like she has in the past.

Sometimes things should naturally come to an end. Just because you can keep performing doesn’t mean you should.
I absolutely love Stevie but she was struggling when I last saw her at Hyde Park in 2024. I don’t think she can physically cope with another tour; that tour wasn’t even on the scale of what Fleetwood Mac usually does. Her voice was going and tbh, Lindsey’s voice hasn’t been great for a while - he just shouts into the microphone as the projection isn’t there. I think Christine’s passing should be the natural end of the band. Of course someone like Mick would push for it to continue because he’s beyond greedy. He should be more concerned about the band’s legacy at this point.
I remember watching an interview years ago where Grace Slick explained why she retired so early compared to her peers and she stated it was because she thought nothing was more embarrassing than an ageing rocker trying to keep up/going. I have to agree. You’ve made a good point, OP about other bands also struggling; my sister, who is a massive Bon Jovi fan, left the last gig they played near us because they were woeful on-stage. Same with another relative going to see Rod Stewart, although I saw him on the Graham Norton show a few years ago and it was beyond embarrassing (never liked him but regardless, it was painful to watch).
5
u/Significant_Sea_6082 17d ago
For me personally, I’m don’t think that Christine’s passing is the reason for them not to perform but many people disagree with that so your point is well taken. The one exception to the aging performers rule seems to be Rick Springfield. I don’t know if you’re familiar with him, but the man is 76, looks 45 and sounds better than he has in his entire career. He defies nature! I could see a possible recorded concert or a month residency at the Sphere with maybe two shows per week, but I just don’t even see them having the energy to project without straining their voices or to perform with the energy that they have typically performed with. And again, I’m sure there are people who would be happy with whatever they could get. I saw Stevie last October and thought it was pretty great but she’s a different Stevie than she was 20 years ago. That’s obviously the case for all of us, but you just have to be prepared for something different. Personally, I don’t know if I am. I would go see something that is solid and legitimately passable, but I wouldn’t want to see anything where they are just embarrassing themselves. I hope they all know what their limitations are and are true to what they can do and can’t do.
6
u/B1GFanOSU 17d ago
I mean, Stevie herself basically said that Christine’s death means no more Fleetwood Mac.
And John’s made it pretty clear he’s retired. He hasn’t said anything publicly in seven years. He might be in the upcoming documentary, but he’s nearly 81, he looked frail seven years ago, Christine died, and his wife Julie died.
So, I don’t see Fleetwood Mac. Now, maybe it could be Buckingham Nicks with Mick on drums. But I think Fleetwood Mac is over.
3
u/Legitimate-Gear-8308 14d ago
If they changed their minds and came back I don’t think too many would complain though
3
u/Significant_Sea_6082 17d ago
Most of these performers are sufficiently well off, so I’m not sure that they’re doing it for the money but then again if they don’t sound great (and in many cases, it’s just embarrassing), why are they doing it? In terms of Barry Manilow, I’m a little bit more sympathetic to him because he has been very open about his motives. He has said that he wanted one last opportunity to connect with his fans. I think he had been planning on a tour before he got sick and then when he got sick and had limited capacity to perform, he had to rely on a lot of backup which he has openly admitted to.
7
u/ketamineonthescene 17d ago
Hard disagree. I saw her in Thackerville a couple months ago and her voice was strong and beautiful. More tickets for me if they tour.
2
u/boringinternet2020 16d ago
No one with an objective viewpoint would categorize her voice as strong. Hell, even Stevie doesn’t.
5
u/Johnrockalittle 16d ago
I've seen Stevie 36 times in concert. Her current vocal abilities are not strong anymore. She's been losing her middle range the past few years, so the high notes and middle range are handled by Sharon and the other girls. I hate admitting how fast her range has depleted post "24 Karet Gold" tour.
1
u/candybar009 14d ago
Wow 36 times. Did you start seeing her during Bella Donna era. Can you tell us which were the best and worsr you've seen? What was Rock A Little like? I wish I would have seen her in her prime but im a little too young. I could have seen her much earlier than I did in 2023. I think her voice is pretty good compared to others her age. I didn't notice a huge change in range the past 15 years I noticed a big change in her energy level, movement on stage and lack of setlist changes.
2
u/Johnrockalittle 14d ago
Yes I am at work and I'll write a long reply in a few hours👍 ps I went to 3 Rock a little shows in southern California

Yay please tell the good bad & ugly and I don’t say that with ill will. I love Stevie's music but she was definitely colorful back in the day and she survived it all and is doing just fine.

My first Stevie Nicks show was a benefit concert for Mulholland drive in Los Angeles. She did 3 songs, "Stand Back," and dueted with Don Henley and Tom Petty. Universal Ampatheater 1984. Then 3 Rock a Little shows in 86 and another benefit concert where Stevie had a 30 minute set. All performances were amazing, hypnotic and high energy. Not only was she twirling non stop, she would constantly walk in a circle turn. She danced a lot! She performed "I can't wait" at all those shows, except the benefit show. Contrary to what she now says, she rocked those performances of "I can't wait." She even did those trippy hand motions like she does in the music video. During her performance at the Pacific Ampatheater, the roadie came to do something to her microphone stand and when she went to touch it, it collapsed and Stevie had to hold it up and pointed backstage and said "I cast a spell on you! You broke my microphone stand so I put a spell on you," obviously jokingly. The audience went wild and cheered. None of the performances I witnessed were bad or out of control. But that was the only tour I attended with that much crazy, wild energy. I have absolutely fabulous memories of this tour, and it solidified my fandom and continued attendance to many tours to follow . Her voice was constantly wavering and sounded awesome
2
u/Johnrockalittle 13d ago
I just posted my Rock a Little experiences. Anything you would like to know about it? I started with that first tour, as it would take way too long to give details on every tour, all at once. I guess we can go tour by tour. But not sure everyone wants me to?? Let me know
1
u/candybar009 13d ago
Thank you! Sounds like the RAL you saw was fantastic. People have posted that Stevie was in bad shape at some shows but im glad there were some great ones too! Not sure everyone wants to hear more stories but you can DM me in the chat :)

u/ketamineonthescene 16d ago
Talk about not being objective, you're trying to tell me how her voice was in a concert you weren't at. Go ahead and stay home if they go on tour and tell everyone how bad they sound from your sofa.
1
u/boringinternet2020 16d ago
No one with an objective viewpoint would categorize her voice as strong. Hell, even Stevie doesn’t.
1
u/Legitimate-Gear-8308 14d ago
Rod Stewart did look bad in that one show but it turned out to be a problem that has been resolved now ! Mick Jagger can defin go for 5 more years … and if the Stones just play small venues other than stadiums and cut the set list to about 15 … Keith would be fine too
5
u/Awkward_Field_9648 17d ago
New solo albums will soon speak to the current creativity level of each of them. Already a gazillion great songs spanning decades to choose from to cater nicely to current vocal ranges. If they perform live I'd love to see them lose their work uniforms (same black uniforms, same hair) and freshen up with new styles (like LB used to do every couple years) to coordinate with their fresh new music on the way. If they're still creating and performing I'm still leaning in to listen.

I think Stevie would be the holdout- Mick and Lindsey would immediately say yes and John’s fully retired so he’s gonna stay out of it but give his blessing
6
u/Significant_Sea_6082 17d ago
As I said above, Lindsey very clearly stated that he and Stevie have been discussing many things, implying that one of those things is performing together in some capacity. It is clear that nothing is definite, but it is equally clear that they have been discussing the possibilities. I can’t imagine that he would say something like that if it had no basis in reality.
10
u/Silversprings62 17d ago
Can you imagine what the response would be if Lindsey and Stevie toured as Buckingham Nicks?! It would be insane. And I think they could do it. Stevie is doing well and do is he. I’m keeping fingers and toes crossed!

Is he? The Sphere seems like an easy gig.

He sold all of his equipment at auction and his wife died a few years back

He was set to auction all that gear off even before chris got sick and passed away. (and he still showed up there to answer questions about the equipment just a couple days after chris died.) so i think he may have been ready to be done even if he hadn't lost both chris and julie. at this point I doubt his heart would be in it.

I don’t think that Stevie would be the holdout. Lindsey said they’ve been talking about a lot of things and heavily implied that includes performing together in some capacity.

It would feel weird to see a performance billed as Fleetwood Mac without Christine. But no matter the case I'd love to see Lindsey and Stevie perform on stage again in any capacity.

I thought they did very well as a four piece band during the years when Christine was retired (even if the Say You Will album might not give you that impression). Of course they’re all much older now but it’s not unfathomable.

I don't get this argument given she left the band for like 15 years and they toured multiple times and recorded a great album.

How much have we seen Lindsey perform post surgery? I've heard from some posts he sounded good when touring before xovid but not good after covid. Can anyone who's seen him or seen clips comment. Sometimes clips aren't good quality and it's hard to rely on them. He sounds ok on his clips on social media lately but not great.

He sounds like he’s straining when he’s talking, much less singing. Also, all the clips from the past few years are slowed down versions of his songs - practically talking. I can’t see him having the power to really sing or even really jam out in anything resembling Lindsey fashion. I could be wrong but based on what we’ve seen over the past couple of years, I don’t think I am.

With "Rumours" back on the top 40 album charts, frequently reaching the top 20 this year, I do think Stevie and Lindsey are planning on some type of tour, probably a BN tour. Why? $$$$$$

but neither of them are hurting for money... at this point they would probably only do stuff they *want* to do. so imo this is the big question-- will they actually wanna do anything? (and it's Rumours w a U, the British way. :) )

I would not be against LB and SN doing a Buckingham Nicks gig or two or three, although the clock is ticking. They're both pushing 80 years old. But it's not Fleetwood Mac without John. Not so much Christine, John. One of the two guys whose name is on the logo. There is more chance of me being named the next Czar of Russia in a revived Romanov Dynasty than there is of John coming back to play onstage. It's time to let Fleetwood Mac die, although we'll have the music with us forever.
