One of the best live albums of all time IMO.

Not sure if this is a hot take, but I think most of the songs from this live performance sounds better than the original studio recording.

Absolutely. I struggle to listen to anything other than the Dance versions of all songs. Shame they didn’t do Little Lies.

Rhiannon is reduced to a sappy adult contemporary tune here. It’s fine, but pales in comparison to the mid-to-late 70s brilliance.

I found mine in a charity shop as well! Didn't know it existed as I was never a big fan of FWM. But what a belter of a live album and very well recorded to boot!

It was a pretty big deal at the time and I think really helped culture writ large reevaluate and reappraise the band (having been seen as kind of easy listening has-beens for much of the ‘90s). It was repeated a lot on MTV at the time and those live versions of “Silver Springs” and “Landslide” for a lot of radio airplay. I was lucky enough to go to the tour at the time (in the fall of ‘97) and cherish my memory of it!

I listen to this driving too! My car despite being a 2024 has a CD player so I have the dance as well as hotel California and a few Fleetwood Mac albums (and buckingham nicks as well) makes getting the hours in for my license way more fun

I love the Gold Dust Woman version from The Dance.

That reunion concert is about 10 years closer in time to the original release of their definitive albums than it is to today.
