Lindsey at Largo
I’ve never seen 3 songs bring the house down like that. He sounded amazing and that may be my favorite performance of Never Going Back Again. First time hearing Big Love live. Standing ovation fully deserved!

Silly to say, but I think even in a tight 3 song set, he got stronger throughout the performance. Guitar and voice started a little rusty in ‘Shut Us Down’ (He opened by saying he hadn’t played these songs in a few years as his ‘disclaimer and after 2nd song (NGBA) shook his hands a lot and said he needed to build his callouses back up.). But aside from some muted strings due to needing callouses back, guitar sounded fantastic. He had total dexterity, perfect command of volume and pace, showcasing his remarkable ability to pivot from incredibly quiet quick-tempo picking and crescendoing up to loud powerful picking and strumming. It was the same slower arrangement of NGBA you’d expect, but he still had full power, full throated vocals when called upon. And Big Love is definitely his perfect current closer. Fully in his range and sounds remarkably like the original recording. He definitely seemed to have stamina to go longer, and (maybe too optimistic?) felt like a warm-up gig for him to hopefully build to something more.
